Beautiful sounds

James Earl Jones's voice was made for story telling. Beautiful story about cause and affect. Even the background sounds, drums, etc. added to the storie's aura.

Great Tale

I agree completely with all points in Gretchen SLP's review. This is great tale about what happens when you jump to conclusions -- or more precisely a tale of a domino effect of misunderstandings. Mosquito irritates Iguana with a terrible story which leads Iguana to take an action which is then misinterpreted by Snake, who then takes an action which is in turn misinterpreted by Rabbit, and on it goes. Fun, gorgeous illustrations (synchronized images), and James Earl Jones being fantastic James Earl Jones. My 5-yr old nephew really enjoyed it and it's a great lesson about jumping to conclusions and the unintended consequences of actions.

James Earl Jones

It's James Earl Jones reading an awesome story. What isn't to love? This was my first experience with Audible Kids but I was happily surprised to see the picture kept changing to show the pictures from the book that corresponded with what was happening so you don't lose the pictures, you just gain James Earl Jones :) also it cost less than $2 - totally worth it.

This book has captured my interest for 40 years!

I bought this book as an 8 year old back in the 70's from one of those Weekly Reader's order forms. It was so interesting and colorful! I just loved it! Of course, you don't see the illustrations with an audio book in the same way. But fear not! The fact that it is narrated by the incredible James Earl Jones, MORE than makes up for that! His voice makes you see those illustrations in your head and the voices he gives the different characters are wonderful! Highly recommend this book! Don't miss it!

A West African Tale, the ending had me laughing!

Synchronized images worked on my iPhone.

The story is so serious all the way until the end, and then I was laughing hysterically.

This is a great audiobook for kids of all ages. The synchronized images were beautiful and blended very well with the music and the narrator.
