Wild Fire: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

New York Times best-seller

"Nelson DeMille is a true master." - Dan Brown, number one best-selling author of The Da Vinci Code

Welcome to the Custer Hill Club - an informal men's club set in a luxurious Adirondack hunting lodge whose members include some of America's most powerful business leaders, military men, and government officials. Ostensibly, the club is a place to gather with old friends, hunt, eat, drink, and talk off-the-record about war, life, death, sex, and politics. But one fall weekend, the executive board of the Custer Hill Club gathers to talk about the tragedy of 9/11 and what America must do to retaliate. Their plan is finalized and set into motion.

That same weekend, a member of the Federal Anti-Terrorist Task Force is reported missing. His body is soon discovered in the woods near the Custer Hill Club's game reserve. The death appears to be a hunting accident, and that's how the local police first report it, but detective John Corey has his doubts. As he digs deeper, he begins to unravel a plot involving the Custer Hill Club, a top-secret plan known only by its code name: Wild Fire. Racing against the clock, Corey and his wife, FBI agent Kate Mayfield, find they are the only people in a position to stop the button from being pushed and chaos from being unleashed.

Outstanding!!

Another great John Cory adventure! This was, of course, very well read by Scott Brick. Scott always does a good job of portraying a guys guy… The concepts and possibilities that Mr. DeMille brings out really make you think about what’s right in the world, and what’s not.

Humorous and poignant

As always I enjoyed the John Cory’s humor and sarcasm. The plot and story is thought-provoking.

Story has hole

The storyline has some holes in it that I never really understood, but overall it was a good book. All of the John Corey books are. I'm really hoping for a TV series.

Great Book

Scott Brick really does a great job bringing Mr. DeMille characters to life. A great book that I would recommend. I would start with the first book in the series. I have 2 complaints the audio on the book skips not bad but enough to be annoying and the interview between Scott Brick and Nelson DeMille is not included in this version. I am disappointed but it would have been nice seeing how it was mentioned at the beginning and end of the book.

Inane music

The writing is as always some of The best most enjoyable riding available, however the stupid inane and incompetent background music is the most frustrating thing I have ever heard , I absolutely pray that it never again is allowed to grace one of his stories.

Book Track issues

There were multiple locations where the technical replaying skipped. Also, I don’t like the delays or pauses in Book tracks.

Great book but some parts skip

There’s an annoying thing in this book. A few (4-5) times it starts to skip like a scratched cd. It completely ruins a couple minutes each time. Other than that it’s a great book, fictionally.

MUSIC IN BACKGROUND ANNOYING

I love DeMille's books and I always enjoy Scott Brick's narration, but this is the first time I've ever heard music in background throughout entire narration. So distracting to the point of annoyance. Some books have music only in lead-ins to subsequent chapters, and that's okay.

Background music ruins the book

This background noise adds nothing and is very annoying! Please don’t do this again. I’m going to make sure that I don’t get another book with background. Book and reader are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
