About this listen

Trapped in a loveless marriage, Marjory Macpherson rejoices at the news of her husband's death, only to find that he is, in fact, very much alive. Marjory has spent her life hating the Camerons, waiting for the day that she can avenge her father. Now suddenly, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to a man who is the enemy.

Cameron Even awakes on the side of a Scottish mountain trapped in another man's body. Despite evidence supporting his 15th century existence, Cameron is faced with the fact that the few memories he does have clearly depict a different kind of life, one that will not exist for another 500 years.…

It would have been better without the sex. otherwise the story was written pretty good.

I enjoyed all the characters... if a bit predictable... the story was still quite entertaining. Loved the narration... he did an excellent job with all the different voices. I'm glad I purchased it & recommend this book for an easy, romantic getaway!

Great story! Moved fast

This book was good, would have rather had it link to book one more than a sentence reference. Hope book 3 incorporates both 1 & 2 in it.
Why is book three not available?? Cottage in the Midst??

This is a difficult one to review, was it a good book with twists, surprises, mystery, angst, sex, some heartbreak, fighting and evil villains?…. yes but, did I really enjoy it?…… sadly no. I don't know whether it was because there just wasn't nearly enough romance or build up but whatever it was it just didn't have me eager to get back to their story or swept away by any strong feelings of love.

Worth a credit? So sadly, for me, this just didn't grab me and I'm sorry to have to say NO to the credit but it was well written and had a great Narrator.

FOR ME, A TEPID ROMANCE RUINED A GOOD STORY

The overall characters are detailed. Their pain, injuries so real. The time travel is interesting to me. Need lots of it whether the masses realize how fun a concept!

2 down…1 to go…of 3

A tricky take on a time travel romance that spans centuries. The story is not typical and the twists are not expected. With a talent that is inspired Dee Davis weaves a tale full of colorful individuals incredible visuals and timeless romance. She brings to life each character in exacting detail with no nuance of personality overlooked. lt's as if you're actually seeing them all, you can hear and smell and feel everyone and every detail. She leaves no stone unturned as she leads you on the journey right beside her.

NARRATOR: Ross Pendleton is incredibly talented too. His accents are spot on and his individual characters are true individuals whether male or female, yoang or old you will always KNOW specifically who is speaking and exactly what they mean.

CREDITWORTHY? Most definitely yes. If a excellent Medieval Highland Romance is what you want than this is it. Add the mystery of a man's time travel journey and it is sheer perfection.

HEAT FACTOR: Sizzle and steam, without crudity. The sexual tension is palpable. The myriad of sex situations is eluded to but only the loving side is tenderly addressed in any detail.

Wild time travel with Dee Davis flair!
