Minnie’s on the move again!

Will Travel For Trouble (#13&14) by Minnie Crockwell finds Minnie visiting Devil’s Tower Wyoming and El Paso TX. She gets goes from the frying pan into the fire by getting embroiled in 2 sets of murders! Luckily she and Ben (resident ghost & guardian angel) remain unscathed and are off to travel another day. I love the series and how the characters gave developed. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book. Narrator Michelle Babb is spectacular in her performance! She creates unique characters, voices and accents. Ms. Babb’s narrative performance is worth a 10-star rating!

Easy listen

These two stories continue the tale of Minnie and her ghost buddy, Ben, traveling around the country to different campgrounds. As always, they run across dead bodies and mayhem as they get to know the people in the campgrounds and the little towns they stop in. Ben is continuing to become more visible and "solid". That in itself is starting to make things more interesting--him eating in a restaurant, having to open car doors to get in instead of going through them.

Excellent cozy

This was books 13 and 14 in the series. Minnie and Ben visit a couple more campgrounds and find more trouble. Minnie has a habit of finding dead bodies and figuring out who did it. I love the way the areas are described in these books. These are a fun and intriguing cozy mystery. The narrator does a great job of voicing the characters and really brings them to life.

Entertaining cozy mysteries

Minnie and Ben are back on their adventures. This time they visit Devils Tower and El Paso. I felt this book shorter than the previous ones but a look at the series Audible page shows me that the boxed sets included three books the previous times, while this one only includes only two. I am not sure why, as there is a 15th book already published. This was a light and easy listen, as this series always is. I quite like Minnie and her special relationship with Ben, which is evolving right now due to some changes in Ben’s nature.

The first story, the one set in Devils Tower was a fun one but I somehow expected a bit more grit to it. I kept thinking that there should be something else at play. I think the ending caught me by surprise because I wanted it to be more than it really was. Well, it is a cozy mystery, so I still accept it.

I found the second story more intriguing and surprising, certainly a more risky job for Minnie than Devils Tower. I missed Minnie and Ben’s private conversations, as they did, but this shows a promising future for both of them, and new wait to approach their investigations. I am looking forward to future sequels.

The best part was Michelle Babb’s narration. I always say that Babb could narrate the phone book and make it interesting. She is a natural! Her character interpretations are just amazing, bringing the characters to life in a way that it feels like watching real people interacting. Michelle Babb has an expressive and natural narration style that works well with this genre, but I am sure she will do wonders on any other kind of book.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Will Travel for Trouble

With traveling and finding murderers, Minnie doesn’t have time for much else other than her friendship with Ben. Man, how things have changed with them, especially with Ben slowly becoming more visible and having the ability to do so much more. I am really liking this series!

More mysteries and dead bodies for Minnie to snoop around. The narration was perfectly done.

I love this series!

Minnie is a spunky and brave lead character who somehow seems to find herself right in the middle of a mystery everywhere she goes. This series can be read in any order and as standalone stories, but it’s best in order so that the side plots make the most sense. You can also see Minnie develop as a character, especially when she tries to stop meddling in crimes and resist her instincts to pry. It’s also fun to see her relationship with Ben progress and change. The narration of this book is my favorite part because Michelle Babb makes Minnie who she is with her wonderful performance. Overall 10/10, get this book!

Can a Ghost Become Real?

In these two stories Ben continues to evolve and we see the relationship between Minnie and Ben get a bit more intense. I like how the variation in the mystery subject matter.

I’m interested in seeing what happens in the love life of Minnie and Ben in the coming stories.

Michelle Babb as the narrator is awesome. She is one of my favorite narrators.
