About this listen

It was 1993 when Andy last saw his sister, Willow. One minute he was holding her hand, and the next, she was gone.

Thirty years later, Andy has a family of his own, but he’s never forgotten his little sister. How could he? Her disappearance destroyed his family and ended his childhood, and with all the leads dried up and no new clues, he’s had to accept that she’s gone forever. That’s until he’s contacted by a woman who claims to have a message for him from Willow. Sceptical, but unable to resist trying anything, Andy meets up with her.

Cleo knows things that were never made public at the time, and Andy starts to think that she really is in contact with Willow. When one of his childhood adversaries is found murdered, Andy turns to the police officer in charge of the investigation at the time for help.

DCI Unwin Phelps had reluctantly retired, with Willow being his only cold, unsolved case. Offered the opportunity to finally find out what happened to her, he agrees to get involved. Working with Cleo and Andy, they don’t realize the danger they're in.

Is Willow back and seeking revenge? If so, is she dead or alive, and why are those involved in the case being picked off one by one? Andy will have to dig deep into a dark past he’d rather forget for the answers, is he ready to face the truth?

Great for the paranormal reader.

I delve into "Willow Weeps," another intriguing creation by Molly Garcia, earning my commendation with a solid 4-star rating. The narrative unfolds as a gripping paranormal thriller, where a brother's quest to unravel his sister's decades-old disappearance takes an otherworldly turn. Guided by a psychic, the story evolves into a spectral collaboration to solve the mysterious murder. Grant's compelling narration, enhanced by chilling sounds and music, adds an eerie dimension to the tale. While the plot held me captivated, my discerning nature caused me to guess who murdered the sister due to early hints that subtly unveiled certain aspects. Nevertheless, Garcia's craftsmanship and Grant's skillful narration make "Willow Weeps" a commendable read.

Beautiful blend of psychic and detective work

Great combination of detective work and “the beyond”! I enjoyed how a psychic was able to aid in the investigations in a way that didn’t immediately blow open the case, but found small hints that allowed the team to find the people responsible for covering up the murder in a very organic way. Grant Love is a gem, and brings this story to life❤️

A Long Time for Closure

A Bittersweet story of a young 5yr old girl who is enjoying the Fair with her 10 yr old brother. The local bullys from school go after the brother causing him to loss his grip on his sister's hand. Once fight over Andy realizes he doesn't see his sister anywhere. This starts 30 yrs of grief, guilt, and no knowing what happened to her.
Narrator does a Excellent job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline. The only downside in this Audible book is when background music or noises are used, I could not understand the words spoken at same time.

Tragic

This book had elements if the supernatural. This story is sad about a missing girl from thirty years ago. As the investigation continues and a cold case is reopened, bizarre murders occur. Narrator Grant Love adds spooky music at the appropriate places. There are sound effects. Grant delivers well with the voices.

Quite the story

While the narrator did a great job, I found some of the sound effects to be a bit obnoxious. However, that aside, it was a good mystery book.

Willow Weeps

Interesting story. Really liked the way the investigators seemed thorough at interviewing the suspects. Liked some of the sound effects and music but it was almost too loud at some points. Enjoyed the story a lot. Really kept my interest

justice????

This saddened me greatly. Even a life for a life doesn't feel like justice. This was an eerie story that gave me goosebumps and chills as I listened. I empathized with Andy for his survivors guilty, but was happy his mother finally acknowledged the child still here and Andy. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. Good sound effects too.
