Story
We've all had experiences with two dramatically different types of leaders. The first type drain intelligence, energy, and capability from the people around them and always need to be the smartest people in the room. These are the idea killers, the energy sappers, the diminishers of talent and commitment. On the other side of the spectrum are leaders who use their intelligence to amplify the smarts and capabilities of the people around them.

Being a CEO at any of the world’s largest companies is among the most challenging roles in business. Billions, and even trillions, are at stake—and the fates of tens of thousands of employees often hang in the balance. Yet, even when “can’t miss” high-achievers win the top job, very few excel. For those who shoulder the burden of being the one on whom everyone counts, a manual for excellence is sorely needed. To identify the 21st century’s best CEOs, the authors of CEO Excellence started with a pool of over 2,400 public company CEOs.

Story
Organizational psychologist and executive coach Rebecca Newton has found that even her most successful clients still want more of one quality: gravitas. They want their words to carry weight, to have a positive, lasting impact on those around them. Gravitas can seem like an elusive, intangible quality, but it isn't about adopting the style of another or being someone you're not. Newton draws on extensive research and experience coaching business leaders to show what underpins authentic gravitas and how anyone can develop it.

Not much here, narrator is terrible
There is very little new/useful information here for the "executive" level interview, it's a rehash of typical information you'd find elsewhere. For example, the author spend a paltry 2:30 talking about the offer and even then, it's an example of how the offer was accepted...
The narrator is terrible, even at 2.5x speed, it was a chore to finish the book...

content is fine but the audible delivery is horrible
it's literally unbearable to listen to this book because the narration it is automated from a computer so it sounds like you're listening to a robot, because you are. too bad they went this route because it would have been interesting if they hired a narrator possibly somebody in the field to read this book would have been beneficial.

Short concise to the point
Loved the tips and the narrator. Books contains effective insights that a lot of executive coaches don’t cover.
