About this listen

When wolf shifter and SWAT Officer Max Lowry first sees Lana Mason, he falls fast and hard. In fact, Max is sure Lana is the one. And the icing on the cake? She's a wolf shifter, too, so he can skip the awkward reveal and go straight to the happily ever after. There's just one problem: Lana has no idea she's a werewolf. To make matters worse, hunters have tracked her to Dallas with the intent to kill her. Now, Max has to keep Lana safe and show her who she really is - and just how much she's come to mean to him.

Fun story but again disappointed by the science and the freaked out girl.

I like a good fantasy story with a side of science fiction, but you would have to actually know something about science. The female love interest is supposed to have a Masters in Chemistry (why not a PhD? ) and when it’s go time and they’ve got to identify and counteract the poison she seems pretty useless. None of her solutions actually use any Chemistry, like she never went to Chemistry class at all. She could have done so many awesome things. It’s perhaps better to not make characters that have specialties the author knows nothing about.

The girl also freaks out too much ( like every girl in all these books) and cries cries cries. She eventually woman’s up, but really.

Sexy warewolf men with guns - check
Sexy times - check
Awesome smart sciencey women - meh

Besides my pet peeves about the female characters I do like the story. It kept moving and kept me interested and I’m on to the next book.

Wolf Hunger

Absolutely loving this series. Love the alpha males, even though this is my first delve into the werewolf genre. Lots of action, but not liking the dark danger element now beginning to creep in.

Wolf Hunger

I love the SWAT guys! And the audio was just as good as all the other which I have as well. Max is no exception. At a mandatory awards function, he meets the woman whose scent has him fighting a shift. She gorgeous, smart, sassy, and things are going well until her father shows up. You'll have to read who he is.
Max is sure they are getting along so well because she is a shifter. It doesn't take long to realize she doesn't know it. He'll deal later, their relationship is just too good, progressing too well. She wants to know about his past since she shared hers with him. He doesn't want to talk about that dark time.
Then danger strikes. First, it is a danger for Lana, but things are going bad for all. Can he keep her safe? What about the other wolves that have come for help?
This is an exciting, steamy, action-filled story with a conflict that seems impossible to resolve. The characters capture your interest and make you root for their success. One thing for sure--you'll never be disappointed by a Paige Tyler book and the SWAT team is one of my favorite.

A good read!

: action-adventure, romance, supernatural, suspense, werewolves, urban-fantasy :
His family life was toxic, and he made some poor choices after high school, but now he's a SWAT team cop with issues, and he's a werewolf. She had a good family beginning, she just got her degree, her dad is a cop who hates the SWAT guys, and she doesn't know she's a werewolf. So of course they are fated mates. Add in some nasty killers who are out to destroy all werewolves and have her name on their list, and you have a brief of the basics of the plot. Painful subjects are handled exceptionally well, and the characters are engaging and intriguing. I really liked this book.
Wish I could say the same for the narrator.

Now that’s a story!

4.5*s

Talk about Maximum speed and wolf power. I think they broke a mold making Max. That’s okay, though. I love the SWAT alpha’s, and I though Remy was my favorite... but yowsers... I do love me some Max.

The pace for this book is fast and steady. There is a little bit of drama and a lot of action. Bullets flying, wolves howling and a butt load of fighting.

Max and Lana are a couple that you don’t see coming your way until they’re there. Big hearts, smiles and a deep love that blossoms in the blink of an eye. She is his one and when the time comes to protect her from the bad guys, cause you know they have the worst ever timing, he’s in like lighting!

The dynamics of the series is heating up and the stress and drama of the unknown is getting to them all but one thing is for sure... Max is not a wolf to take things lying down.
