About this listen

Policy changes can have unintended consequences - and they can be deadly. It's easy to stay invisible in the Florida Keys, and Mac Travis is doing his best, when a simple fishing trip to the Marquesa Keys lands him in the middle of a deadly plot. When a ruthless shipping magnate returns to his roots and exploits the new Cuban immigration policy, Mac and Trufante are pulled into a life and death struggle, not only for themselves, but those they love. Wood's Betrayal is a gripping, standalone adventure thriller in Steven Becker's best-selling Mac Travis series. Centered around South Florida and the Florida Keys, Becker's audiobooks feature plenty of Keys counter-culture, along with scuba diving, boating, and fishing.

Steven Becker and Paul McSorley did it again!! This is another great Mac Travis story. Trouble with Cuban immigration gets the story rolling. Have fun listening to this one! You will not want to stop!

Another Great One

The detail in this storyline, and all through the series, allows you to fully see each action in your mind. And it totally reflects the Keys lifestyles and boating amongst them. As usual, a great story.

Paul McSorley's narration and and vocal characterizations have been spot on and carries through the whole series.

Great collaboration and job, guys!

I love this series.

some of the scenarios are actually impossible. The thought of using the spear gun line between the spear and the gun to actually climb hand-over-hand is unbelievable. Literally unbelievable, that line would cut the flesh off your hands trying to support your weight... especially for someone is big as Mac. and FYI real boat operators use the word lines in place of ropes. ropes are what lines are made of if the word is used at all. And to try and reload a speargun while hanging on a mooring pendant, that is something I would love to see....

realism took a vacation with this book.
