About this listen

Baseball player. Single dad. Hot mess. No woman has ever tamed him...until now.

Everyone knows Ryan Riggs - everyone who follows minor league baseball, that is. He's the player with the hair-trigger temper, the bad shoulder, and the smoking-hot looks. He's also a single dad in need of a nanny - which makes him my new boss.

Simple.

Except for one thing: We had a one-night stand five years ago. We're trying to be professional. But it was one of the best nights of my life, and the more I work with him, the more I'm thinking about a repeat.

He's battling his demons, and I might be the only one who can help him win. He's impossible. He's unforgettable. He's unwinnable. Looks like I have my work cut out for me...

I’ve been waiting for this one

In book 3 of this series we get Ryan’s story. I’ve honestly been looking forward to this one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The audible version was done nicely and having this story told in a dual POV was great. We get introduced to Kate and learn what makes Ryan tick. Now I’m looking forward to the next book! Definitely a book and a series I suggest to check out.

Bad Boy of Baseball and the Good Girl!

I have really fallen for these misunderstood Riggs brothers. We've had glimpses of sexy single dad, Ryan, and his adorable son, Dylan, and I couldn't wait to listen to his story. Ryan found baseball to be his ticket out of the harsh life he knew. Now he is injured and may never play baseball again. The bad boy of baseball acts without thinking and that messes up his and Dylan's life. When he hires sexy, Kate as his nanny, he never imagined how much she would affect his life for the better. Ryan and Kate had one passionate night together 5 years ago, but will put that aside for the sake of Dylan. He was deserted on Ryan's doorstep 3 years earlier, and Dylan is afraid that if Ryan has a girlfriend, he will lose this home too. Ryan needs to put Dylan first, and that includes turning to the brothers and town he thought he left behind, but is the only place he feels whole. But how can he leave Kate behind? Kate is smart and has a college degree, but is directionless. I loved how Ryan's quirky family draws her in, and makes her feel accepted and loved. She finally has the support and confidence to find her passion. I love how even tho these brothers had a harsh upbringing, these men are completely loyal, loving, and protective of each other and the women they love.
Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke narrate this moving, fun, and passionate story flawlessly. They nailed these characters perfectly, making me feel all the unease, vulnerability, hope, fun, and love they experienced. I was completely lost in their performance!
I have become so invested in this family and am so intrigued by the last brother, Dex, and am excited to listen to his story next!

Ryan Riggs is also fantastic...

I am totally sold on the Riggs boys and the amazing writing talent of Julie Kriss. She's given me back to back excellence with this series. This time it was Ryan Riggs and while he may have been dubbed the bad boy of baseball, he proved himself to be a really good guy at heart. His vulnerability was endearing. He had moments of cockiness but he still had baggage from his past and struggled with it. His relationship with his nanny Kate was great to experience. They had met previously, had a one night stand, and still decided to work together five years later. I enjoyed the way it was all done. It wasn't riddled with angst and torment about the past. I felt like they handled that part in a unique and mature way. Their present was where the real story was and it was still fantastic.

I loved the narrators for this story too. Both were different from the previous books in the series but still excellent. Savannah Peachwood I already knew I loved, but Jason Clarke is definitely one I'm gonna need more of. They both gave amazing performances and were a pleasure to listen to.

Quick, intense & swoon worthy, single dad romance

I love a good single dad romance. I've read a few thing year and WORK ME UP, definitely stood out. Ryan is the quintessential brooding hot jock with a bad attitude. Baseball has been his life, but when he injures his shoulder he spirals and finds himself in a very dark place. As a single parent and knows that for his kids sake, he needs some help. Then Kate steps in to work as his nanny. He's shocked to find out that he already knows here. Kate and Ryan had a one-night stand! The chemistry and attracting they felt that one night is still there. But Kate refuses to let herself get sucked back in. Tensions rise, the stakes get higher and eventually they can both no longer resit. If you're looking for a quick, intense and swoon worthy romance, I definitely suggest picking this one up. I've really enjoyed the last two Riggs Brothers novels, and I'm looking forward to learning more about Dex in [book:MAKE ME BEG|42120577].

*I received a free audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I found the story intriguing and litened to it in one day. I've listened to books by both narrators before and love the way that they tell a story.

Great Single Dad Story and Second Chance to Love!

This is the third book in the Riggs Brothers Series, a Single Dad story and a Second Chance to Love. I haven't listened to the first books in the Series. I love Julie Kriss writing! Ryan and Kate's story is beautifully written, fun, and heartwarming. I loved it! Ryan is a handsome, and sexy single Dad. Kate is beautiful, loving and caring. They are great together. Dylan, Ryan's son, is so cute! Savannah Peachwood and Jason Clarke did a great job with the narration. I love their voices together! Looking forward for more book written by Julie Kriss.

Heart and heat- a great listen!

After reading the first two Riggs Brothers books, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Ryan Riggs story. Single dad, baseball player, all around hot mess, I mean… come on. And his love interest is his nanny. I was so excited to read this one and it didn’t let me down.

Ryan and Kate met each other five years ago. They had intense chemistry and a one night stand neither one of them have forgotten. Since then, Ryan has been through a lot. His baseball career is on the rocks due to an injury, and he’s a single dad to seven year old Dylan, who was dropped off by his maternal grandparents a few years ago (Ryan has no clue he existed at that point) and Ryan needs help.

Kate applies to be Dylan’s nanny, and Ryan sees her for the first time in five years when she applies. Sparks still fly between these two, but now things are complicated… As much as Kate and Ryan try to resist each other, that chemistry between them just won’t let up. And eventually they’re bound to give in. It’s just, what will happen when they do? They have more to think about then themselves now.

The audio book of Work Me Up is narrated by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood. It was a quick listen (I think around 5-6 hours) and fast paced. The narration was excellent and the audio quality was good. I would definitely recommend listening to this one. I hope the fourth and final Riggs book comes out on audio soon, because I can’t wait to listen to it!

I’ve enjoyed listening to this series so much. Though I still think Jace’s book is my favorite, this is a close second. It’s on the short side, but has a lot of heart, steam, and was highly entertaining.

Ryan + Kate

Reformed bad boy player single dad Ryan Riggs is surprised to find a girl he hooked up with 5 years ago at his door applying to be his son’s Nanny. Kate never forgot about that night with Ryan and can’t resist the opportunity to be around him again.
Excellent narration + second chance trope. If you enjoyed Luke and Jace’s books then you’ll love Ryan’s story!

Great single dad story

Ryan Riggs is the baseball player of the Riggs brothers. When he meets his son's would-be nanny, Kate, they realize they have history. I thought these two were great together. I really enjoyed the scenes with Dylan (the son,) especially the ones where he was with Kate. I also enjoyed revisiting the other brothers and their lady loves. Great narration! I'm looking forward to the final Riggs brother, Dex--I'm most curious about his story.

Bad boy meets the good girl

I absolutely love this series. I have wrapped myself up in the hot Riggs brothers and I couldn't wait to listen to this one to hear Ryan's story.

He is or was the bad boy of baseball until he was injured. Now he is a single dad and barely staying above water on most days. He has still been involved with his brothers back in West Lake and helping with all the trouble that has been following them around. Now he needs help with his son Dylan because he is not making it on his own. He never expected the person that showed up to apply for the job to be the woman he hooked up with 5 years ago. He never forgot Kate and now she is back and in life and he wants more from her than being her employer.

Kate has been floating through life after college not really knowing what she wants to do. When her cousin tells her about a job being a Nanny for a baseball friend's little boy she decides to go for it. She knows who Ryan Riggs is and more than because he is famous. She knows him intimately for a one night stand 5 years ago. He ruined her for all other men, not like there had been that many but he definitely left his mark and now she wants to be more than his Nanny.

Such a great book. This is my favorite of this series and I love them all but this gets all the feels going. I loved Ryan's character with his flaws and heart that he keeps locked up tight. Kate makes him want to be more than a bad boy and with her help and love he gets there. I love the entire family dynamics from the other brothers and their loves and we get a better peek at Dex and maybe what's to come for the former cop turned bad.

Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood are great narrating this series but I love listening to both of these voice actors. Their timing was spot on for this book.

I really enjoyed this audiobook and highly recommend it.
