You Love, then hate Arthas!

I started playing World of Warcraft during the end of Wrath of the Lich King, so I was never drawn too much into the end game of Arthas or Northrend. This was the first of the WoW books that I listened to and it changed the way that I loved the game. There is so much to the lore that I was completely missing out on.

It was awesome to see how Arthas progresses while growing up, becoming a great icon. It did take a quick turn once Arthas gets Frostmourne and starts killing everyone. He cared so much for his people and then, boom, wants them gone, as soon as he hears the whispers. His relationship with Jaina drew me in, almost as if this were a romance novel.

Overall, this was a very great book and was narrated well by Christie Golden. She does a decent job at bringing the characters to life with her voice. Would highly recommend for anyone who has played the game for a while. It makes the game feel like so much more.

My favorite character in all fiction

Already read the book twice, listened to Christie Golden read it this time. Had to speed it up to 1.25x since she reads too slow in my opinion.
Otherwise no complains.

what a crybaby

Arthus couldn't handle being told no and, with his emotional immaturity, pushes all his friends and family away and then kills tons of people. really puts this character into perspective. ;)

A Timeless Classic

The Narrator is excellent the story begins a little slow and then before you know it you never will want to press pause. If you're a fan of Warcraft, this is a must read. If you're looking to get into Warcraft lore this is a great place to start. Even if you've never heard of Warcraft you will still enjoy this story.

The backstory of EPL WPL, and some classic WoW heros

This story covers the events of the scourge and the rise of the Lich King. Well performed. Good Lore. Not the most riveting prose.

first half is awesome

narrator/ author sounded monotonous after while, even though she did voices and tried to do it lively.
1/2 half of book was marvel, on 2nd half i was getting bored sometines. but thats because this part everyone knows from games.
