Publisher's summary

Jake Ramsey - an unassuming yet talented archaeologist - has been given the chance of a lifetime. Hired to investigate a recently unearthed Xel'Naga temple, he knows this latest assignment will open up whole new possibilities for his career. Yet when Jake discovers the remains of a long-dead protoss mystic, his hopes and dreams are irrevocably drowned in a flood of alien memories. Bonded to the spirit of the dead protoss, Jake has become the sole inheritor of the protoss' total history - every event, every thought - every feeling.

The best! I can't wait for the next one!

This is one of the most engrossing stories I've listened to in a long time.

I was so disappointed when it ended! To me that is the best indication of how much it held my attention.

If you love StarCraft, you'll love this book.

Solid

As a new fan to the game and a protoss player, I wanted to have more story to experience. this was different than I was expecting, but was still very good.

Good, But...

I like it, but the VA should really add that reverb, echo effect when she does the voices of Protoss characters.

somewhat confusing

a good story even if I had a hard time keeping up with what was happening...
great lore about the world though, you should grab it just for that if you like StarCraft

Christie is a great author...
not so much narrator...
doesn't get in the way of the book, but doesn't help it either

Great story, ok audio

Very much enjoyed the story. Christie does an excellent job with the StarCraft universe. The reading audio was a bit rough in some places, but not to the point it was not enjoyable. Definitely worth it if you like science fiction and/or StarCraft.

the concept of a human with protoss abilitys

the story was amazing, but the narration left a lot to be desired. while I've heard worse, it was a little too monotone to indulge upon all at once and took me weeks to finish.

nice enough starcraft story

Not ultra dark, just the normal amount. Although it was a little long for the amount of actual content in it, you shouldn't notice it to badly after the first quarter.
The audio is serviceable. A female narrators this novel, and it's hard for her men to not come across as pussies because of that. But she tries her best, and it's not too noticeable because the main male character is a bit of a a pussy.
The architect named Jake is likeable enough, even if he has limiting morals.
I wish we could have gotten more of Mr. V, but I might be able to find more of him in the next edition.
Zimara is perfectly serviceable.
Trouble is the star of this story tho. a ruthless merc type who is forced to help, in order to keep her mental health safe.
