About this listen
On a routine trip to gather supplies in a nearby town, the trio picks up another member who adds a much-needed contrast to their own personalities. His skills and attitude will round out the group, bringing them all closer together and making survival a little easier - and much more interesting. Disturbed by a few startling revelations they find during their scouring, Dan begins to probe into the notebooks discovered at a previous looting spree in order to find answers. His quest for the truth brings shocking revelations that make the end of the world even stranger and more horrifying than it was before.
This third installment of Wormwood Dawn will shatter the age-old formula and drive the apocalypse into a dark and terrifying direction that knows no bounds.

Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

Story
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

On the surface, a plague ravages the planet, infecting over 90% of the populace. Gets better and better!
I'm going to start this one of by saying that this episode of the serial was the best so far, both story wise and narration wise. Now Clifford Edwards did a great job with each of the ones he narrated but the production quality was very echoey. This ones production was flawless, thank goodness. Now there were echoey parts but they were used to demonstrate thoughts but this is really well narrated. Well done to the narrator for developing and evolving!!
Now onto the story. It's really hard to say anything about this without spoiling it, so all I'm going to say is that it just keeps getting better and better!! We have another new character, and there are some truly shocking discoveries made!! Poor Dan just doesn't get any breaks and again, I'm left waiting and I need the next installment ASAP!
This author is definitely one to check out. He has such an amazing writing style and can truly tell a great story. I hope this is bundled into a full collection so I can experience the full story together.
*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*

Anoither Excellent Addition to the Series!!
Would you listen to Wormwood Dawn, Episode III again? Why?
Yes I most definitely would. In fact, once I finish the complete series, I plan to listen to them all over again because the books are suspenseful, thrilling and engaging.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dan is my favorite character. Watching how he is changing throughout the series from being a drunk to being compassionate and caring for his friends.
What does Clifford Edwards bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Clifford Edwards is amazing. He kept me engaged and created a vivid picture in my mind of what was happening throughout all the books so far and with Edward Crae's witing together they have the capability to make you feel as if you are part of the story.

I really liked this series. This third book is just as good as the previous ones. This one also had quite a few funny parts in it as well. I must say that the ending was kind of shocking too!

I am addicted to this series!!!
I must admit, I purchased the paperback version. As soon as I started to read it, the audio version came out and I finished it up that way. While I did receive this copy free in exchange for a honest review, I enjoyed it so much that I bought the paperback version and had it rush delivered to my house! I was not disappointed at all. As someone who reads tons of apocalyptic books, it has become increasingly difficult to run across one that isn't the "same old, same old" and I love the different aspects that this talented author has brought to the table. I highly recommend!

Listened for review and loved this installment. Production quality is fine now which helped loads. I've listened to the first two and enjoy the twist on the zombie theme. Dan and Drew would be a ball to hang out with or kill zombies with but watch out for serial killers. Love it!

So far so good!!!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, the narrator does a very good job bringing all the character to life.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wormwood Dawn, Episode III?
Realization that there is even a scarier monster among them.
What about Clifford Edwards’s performance did you like?
It does feel like Clifford is getting into the groove with the characters and it resonate in Chapter 3. The story and performance is definitely picking up.

Yes, I wanted to know what lies around the corner and now with the new monster among them it is even more crazy then before.
