About this listen

Book One in an epic, forbidden MM romance saga from USA Today best-selling author Ella James....

You think you know me.

That's the way I want it.

Making you feel like we know each other - like we could go grab a beer sometime - is part of my job. Maybe the most vital part. It doesn't hurt that I'm easy on the eyes, single at 35, and born richer than sin. My aesthetic matters much more than it should, but all the better for my worthy cause.

And it's a worthy cause.

I've made an art out of making you feel good, and my influence makes you want to be good. Good like me. You think you know me, but you don't.

Everyone has secrets. Mine could cost me everything.

So I'm a fortress. No one's ever even gotten close.

Until tonight.

See that man, the tall guy dripping on the bow of my yacht? The one I just pulled from the ocean?

He's the one who's going to cost me everything.

Heat. Angst. Great narration. This forbidden love is a favourite trope for me, book two awaits.

If you pick up this title expecting a complete story with a satisfying ending, you’ll be disappointed. If you think of it more like episodic television, this being the first episode, with the obvious expectation you’ll have to tune into the next to get satisfaction, then it’s a good experience.

I enjoyed the writing. Narration was ok.

Only the first part of the story

This book skirts on the taboo of MM and religion. Luke is very much in the closet. Vance is openly into both men and women. Vance is an artist. Luke is the nation's most famous Pastor. They had a chance meeting when Vance was on vacation on a cruise and got left behind. He stumbled onto Luke's boat. Then years go by and Like is still pretending to be someone he's not. The book ends with them getting thrown back into close quarters for an uncertain amount of time. I'm interested to see where this series is headed. Aiden Snow and Iggy Toma did a fantastic job narrating.

WELL let me tell you, if you like taboo romances, MM romances, a boat load of angst and hot as Hades spice on the spiceometer, YOU NEED THIS SERIES!!!

So there’s this guy, good looking, public persona who makes you want to be good, but he’s harbouring a secret, and it’s about to get complicated because a guy climbs into his yacht, dripping, like something out of a wet dream, and now he wants him, but he shouldn’t, and oh my goodness this is good!

Not telling you anything else about the story because when things are revealed they will knock your socks off. I loved this book. It sets the scene perfectly following Vance and Luke and their initial meeting and onto the years of mini and missed connections. There were so many moments in this book where I was rooting for them to finally get their time together.

Vance is the one that got away and he burns deep in Luke’s heart.

Iggy is the perfect Vance. He’s the lighter, easy going guy and lets Luke just be. I loved the chilled out vibe that Iggy brought to him. Luke on the other hand is intense and Aiden was commanding and stoic. He really let us get into Luke’s head and feel the turmoil that is twisting his insides.

An amazing start to this series.

An angst ridden MM that you won't want to put down

I’m listening for the second time

I had put off reading this book because I was worried it was going to be really angsty, like an angst-fest of angst. But I finally took the leaped and listened to it in one go. And to my surprise it wasn't quite as bad as I thought it was going to be. Actually, it was pretty mild as far as the angst goes.
I liked this story, and I really liked both characters. I just very much disliked the time jumps, when they were separated. I always hate that, in any book. I hate thinking about two people who are meant to be together being apart for years. I can appreciate why it was done in this case, Luke had a lot to work through, but it still didn't make it any easier.
Jumping right into book 2.

The narrators were great!

Not quite the angst-fest I expected.

This book was truly a masterpiece. Complex and compelling characters that you feel completely invested in...sizzling chemistry between the leads, an intersting plot and superb narration and writing. I can't say enough about this and the sequel Adore. I highly recommend them both but be prepared to lose a couple of days because you will not be able to stop reading or in my case listening.

Masterpiece!

Such a wonderful glimpse into the love story between these two amazing men. While Worship is as much teaser as fulled formed story the chemistry between these two is amazing. But what pulls me in, is how much Luke needs what Vance so freely gives. In the beginning this comes as friendship and it is the lifeline that Luke needs to survive.
Iggy Toma and Aiden Snow are perfection. I hear Iggy Toma’s voice in my head whenever I read any scene involving Vance Rayne.

Love these two.

Jesus Christ. Vance and Luke were scorching! So freaking hot. Spice level 5/5 just because they were so freaking raw and intense.
This book was more of a base for their beginning and why Luke fells stuck where he’s at.
Hopefully we’ll get more on the next book -which I’m starting immediately-
I do feel super bad for Vance -poor guy doesn’t deserve this, but we’ll see if Luke redeems himself

Narration was SPECTACULAR 10/10
