Publisher's summary

From New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Laura Kaye…

Getting in deep has never felt this good...

Commercial diver Tara Hunter nearly lost everything in an accident that saw her medically discharged from the navy. With the help of the Warrior Fight Club, she’s fought hard to overcome her fears and get back in the water where she’s always felt most at home. At work, she’s tough, serious, and doesn’t tolerate distractions. Which is why finding her gorgeous one-night stand on her new dive team is such a problem.

Former navy deep-sea diver Jesse Anderson just can’t seem to stop making mistakes - the latest being the hot-as-hell night he’d spent with his new partner. This job is his second chance, and Jesse knows he shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. But spending every day with Tara’s smart mouth and sexy curves makes her so damn hard to resist.

Joining Tara’s wounded warrior MMA training program seems like the perfect way for Jesse to blow off steam - except now they’re getting in deep and taking each other down day and night. And even though it breaks all the rules, their inescapable attraction might just be the only thing truly worth fighting for.

These two were definitely worth fighting for!

Worth Fighting for was another great addition in Kristen Proby’s Big Sky Crossover Series. This was my first book by Laura Kaye and throughly enjoyed it. Jesse is Willa’s brother. He is somewhat disconnected from the family back in Cunningham Falls and feeling broken without the military. Tara is a commercial diver, a former Navy Diver dealing with some anxieties about her past. Jesse and Tara hook up for a one night stand. Their connection and chemistry were explosive! What they don’t expect is to run into each at work the next day. Both of these characters together have beautifully broken pasts and it took them some time to accept it but they compliment each other in a beautiful way and falling in love is just what they needed to feel complete. The epilogue was my favourite! So sweet.

Andi Arndt nevers disappoints. Her narration was PERFECTION!

Worth Fighting For

Willa’s brother, that is how this book connects. I really enjoyed the whole story. Sometimes with shorts, you feel like your missing out on really getting to know the characters but I loved the way the author gave us a full story in a limited amount of time.

I really felt for both these characters, their chemistry is off the hook and they really didn’t see it coming heck neither did I!

I love how they talked things out and even if they were both disappointed in what they ultimately came to it still was better than drama or at least it was for me.

I loved how it all tied together. I really enjoyed Jessie.

Andi is a great voice actress so it is no wonder I loved her work.

the warrior fight club gets a new member!

This is a fairly short story in this series but is no less enjoyable than the previous books. This story focuses on former Navy diver, now a commercial diver, Tara Hunter, who almost lost her life in a dive. Now she's welcoming a new member to the dive team. Except she is surprised when the newbie turns out to be her hot one-night stand...whom she had ducked out on...awwwwkward! Jesse Hunter is glad for this second chance at a dive job, after his naval career as a deep sea diver; he has not intention of messing up by having an affair with his team mate. But can this pair deny the chemistry between them? Not to mention the baggage of broken people.
Good story and excellent narration make this book an enjoyable listen.

4 stars

I think this is my first solo read of Laura's. I actually have a few of her books on my tbr and I probably should move them up my list. Also, I know this is a standalone, BUT I also wished I listened to the audios of books 1 & 2 in the warrior fight club series before I dived into this one. I think I was lost about the fight club? Overall, this was a different novella story for me that was good.

happy to have a real story , and a great narrator

The story was interesting, and even though it was lust at first sight, there was more to the relationship and more to the story. As usual Andi pulled it off for both male and female voices with believable emotional narration. Loved the whole package.
