Publisher's summary

While tracking a wolf from Georgia to South Dakota, wildlife biologist Isabelle Acker meets sexy park ranger Wyatt Powell. His Wolf sits up and takes notice of her, but when he learns why she came to the park, he becomes wary of her intentions. After all, as far as the general population knows, there are no wolves in the Black Hills.

Ordered by his Alpha to keep an eye on the smoking-hot biologist, Wyatt finds it difficult to keep his hands to himself. He wants to possess her, to share everything about his life, but that might endanger the Tao Pack. But the attraction proves too great and, unable to deny his Wolf, he takes her with a passion he didn't know he possessed.

However, their sexual bliss is short-lived, and on the night of the full moon, more than one secret is revealed. When all is said and done, they must each decide - is what they have between them true love or just hot sex?

Your Wild Heart

Wyatt is the Park Ranger keeping an eye on Isabelle. Wyatt has to protect the pack from a woman that has made a career of studying wolves. Isabella isn’t that easy to fool. And yet I found it slightly interesting that she didn’t question more about her surroundings and the “trouble” that kept brewing. She also wasn’t a wide eyed innocent either, well not too much.

There was a good banter between Wyatt & Izzy through the story. Both of them were intelligent and had a lot in common. There was good internal dialog to see where both of them were coming from with their feelings towards each other as they reacted to the other and to the events in the story.

The story kept alluding to Izzy’s own secrets. Which were tagged along until the end – nothing like a good twist. As everything was revealed and wrapped up in the end, all of the pieces fell into a neat order.

The narrator, while not perfecting the best female voices, had a very nice soft tambour to both the speaking parts and the narration. It made for a story that you could enjoy listening to while driving without having to concentrate too hard. This was book 14 of the Black Hills Wolves but it was a stand alone story.

Your wild heart

This is a sweet romance and fun shifter book. This was my first from this author and series and I really enjoyed it. The book can defiantly stand alone and the narration is great.

With someone new sniffing around about wolves it puts the entire pack on alert. I loved the animal pranks played, especially the bear!

Your Wild Heart

This was my introduction to both this author and narrator.

I liked Garson's portrayal of the characters. I especially liked Wyatt and the mystery surrounding Isabelle at the beginning. This is definitely more of a character and romance-driven novel than plot-driven. It dragged a little in the middle but then picked up again. There was a lot of scientific explanation that I think slowed it down. My favorite scene was the wolf scene during the night of the full moon. I would love to have seen more of that.

Max Martin has a nice voice for narration. It's pleasant to listen to, and he doesn't go over the top trying to do women's voices. I still like dual narration better, but I liked that he didn't make his voice too high pitched and whiny when he imitated a woman's voice. He changed it just enough that you know a female character is speaking.

I will definitely look for other books by Dena Garson.

Sexy, fun shifter romance!

Where does Your Wild Heart rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty high up there. It was a well blended combination of good writing, good storytelling and wonderful narration.

What other book might you compare Your Wild Heart to and why?

Suzanne Wright's Phoenix Pack series because they both are great stories that have realistic depictions of wolves and a believable enjoyable romance story line.

Have you listened to any of Max Martin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to him before but I would love to listen to new books now. His voice is smooth and delightful and just the right pace.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"Werewolves have never been so fun..."

Any additional comments?

I'm hoping that they'll soon put the rest of Dena Garson's Black Hills pack on Audio so I can binge read the entire series!

Shifters unite

Would you consider the audio edition of Your Wild Heart to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version but I thoroughly enjoyed this audio

What other book might you compare Your Wild Heart to and why?

I don't like to compare audio books as I feel they all have something unique and the narrators have their own styles.

Have you listened to any of Max Martin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but I will again as I loved his smooth easy way.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I found there were several witty and intelligent scenes and I liked the romantic aspects

Any additional comments?

Although this was book fourteen it was a standalone and Max Martins marvellous narration made Dena Garsons wonderful writing a pleasure to listen too.
