About this listen

Extreme horror and gore from the twisted mind of Jubilee Savage.

When Jennifer and her best friend Daisy boarded a plane bound from Providence, Rhode Island to Miami, Florida less than 24 hours earlier, neither of them could ever have expected that they would end up at a hotel where some of their fellow spring breakers would develop a taste for flesh.

As Jennifer continued to stare at the chaos on the other side of the glass, she regretted letting Daisy talk her into leaving the safety of her college campus for the unknown adventure more than 1,000 miles away. If only she had stayed home, she thought, everything would be different. Sure, things would have probably worked out the same for her fellow travelers, but Jennifer could be safely ensconced in her dorm room right now instead of standing barefoot on a hotel balcony with the screams of the undead and the dying ringing in her ears.

Jennifer remembered feeling anxious as she packed her suitcase. "What if something bad happens?" she'd asked her best friend since elementary school. "What if something bad happens when we're so far from home?"

"You always say that," Daisy scolded as she packed a bikini that could have doubled for dental floss. "Learn to live a little. You only live once. Besides, what's the worst that could happen? It's not like you're going to be eaten alive by zombies."

Horror and splatterpunk fans will love every tense, frightening, creepy moment of this extreme horror zombie apocalypse short by author Jubilee Savage.

Short and Sweet

Short, sweet, and fairly bloody. Nothing crazy, basically what you would expect from a short and sweet zombie horror story.

curious about the author

I picked up this short because I was curious about the authors style. Being only $2.50 I figured I didn't have much to loose being a avid zombie fan. The story comes across as something you would read in a college creative writing class. The first half of the book is set up for character development where we have a hot girl who wants to have sex and a ugly fat girl who complains about everything. Of course we are stuck with the fat girl who is more worried about how fat she is in a bikini then the zombies on the other side of the door killing everyone. I kid you not. There was some graphic scenes which gave me a bit of a laugh, which is the only highlight of this story. The characters are unlikable and probably the main reason I am going to pass on her other books.
