Your residual self-image is the mental projection of your former self. Right in this very moment, you are here now. You are in a new place of being and thinking…but your mind is taking you back to another time. You are going back and living in the past instead of living in the present. Your residual self-image is limited and based on “what happened” to me, rather than “who I am”. This episode explores your true nature and helps you move up and out of your old residual self-image.

    In this episode of
Experience of the Soul Podcast, host Cynthia Alice Anderson dives deep into the concept of "Residual Self-Image," explaining how we often project a mental image of our former selves based on past experiences, traumas, and limiting beliefs. Drawing inspiration from the movie The Matrix and the Bible's transformational stories, Cynthia emphasizes the importance of awakening to our authentic spiritual selves and breaking free from old, limiting mental projections. Through stories, personal reflections, and spiritual teachings, she encourages listeners to step into the present, embrace their divine nature, and move beyond past self-perceptions that no longer serve them

Where is God? And how can we know God? Prayer is a great start, as we discussed last week. But, we also want to think about, how is my idea of God framing the relationship? And what if your idea of God could get larger and more expansive? It really changes everything. This episode focuses on the idea that God is everywhere present and always available to us!

“God is a circle whose center is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere” is a quote attributed to St. Augustine, Hermes Trismegistus, and Voltaire. The quote's origins can be traced back to Liber XXIV philosophorum, a Latin booklet written by an anonymous author that contains 24 definitions of God

Jeremiah 23:23–24 "Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord"

Genesis 28:15,16 "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, 'Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it'"

Psalm 139"Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me"

We often discuss prayer on the show and in our churches we pray. But are we praying daily? Or regularly? It is important to have a prayer practice that supports your soul's growth and evolution. This episode investigates the various types of prayer and practices that can support you feeling connected and blessed. There is no wrong way to pray, but there are ways to pray that will help your alignment with God, Jesus and all things holy.

The Prayer of Faith or the Lord’s Prayer are wonderful ways to pray affirmatively. Jesus said to “pray like this” - Matthew 6:9-13

    King James Version
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

“Feeling stuck” is a regular part of life’s journey. Many people feel disillusioned and lost when this seeming block occurs. But I can assure you that even this is a necessary and important part of the journey. When we feel stuck, it really means we feel disconnected from God. If you feel disconnected, it is only a feeling. This episode will help you escape the disconnect and give you various practices to get “unstuck” and connected again.

Learning to listen deeply to your inner guidance is so important. As your journey deepens and you are able to hear the inner voice of Spirit, it becomes apparent what is hours to do and when. Your process is more than reaching goals. It is a process of awakening and living your purpose. Listening for the voice for next steps, what needs to be released and finally, hearing the GO SIGNAL. This signal comes in many ways at various times of the day or night. Discerning this signal is necessary for your next steps.

    In Episode 321 of
Experience of the Soul Podcast, host Cynthia Alice Anderson and producer Shawn Kilgore explore the topic of "Getting the Go Signal." They delve into the importance of discerning when it’s the right time to move forward in life and how to recognize the inner and outer signs that guide us on our spiritual journey. This episode emphasizes the difference between acting from the personality (ego) and the soul, offering listeners practical steps for tuning into their inner voice, seeking divine guidance, and confidently taking action when they receive the go signal.

When you are dreaming big and moving forward on your journey, something will need to be released for your dream to be realized.. The key to ask yourself is, “what is keeping me from living my dreams and goals?” Very often it is an attitude or an old false belief. This false belief could be something as simple as ‘I don’t deserve” or it could even be surrounding yourself with people that don’t support your highest good. Remember that release is both freeing and supportive and will allow you to lift high above the past and into your dreams, goals and intentions.

In episode 320 of the "Experience of the Soul" podcast, titled "What Needs to Be Released," host Cynthia Alice Anderson and producer Shawn Kilgore explore the concept of releasing what no longer serves us. The episode emphasizes the importance of identifying and letting go of limiting beliefs and physical objects that hold us back from achieving our dreams and goals. Listeners are encouraged to reflect on their lives, clear out physical clutter, and address deep-seated beliefs to create space for new opportunities and growth.

Allowing yourself to Dream Big can be an incredible awakening. Most of us have heard for most of our lives that we either “can’t” or “shouldn’t” do or even dream about doing or accomplishing certain things. We have limits that are imposed upon us, often from a very young age. Of course the people around us, our families, often feel they are helping us by limiting our thinking…they don’t want us to get any “big ideas.” What most do not realize, is that the big ideas pull us forward. And dreaming big is a great way to support your soul’s forward movement.

In episode 319 of the Experience of the Soul podcast, host Cynthia Alice Anderson and producer Shawn Kilgore discuss the importance of dreaming big. They share heartfelt shout-outs, including one to longtime listener Nicole Menschel, and delve into how allowing oneself to dream can lead to personal and spiritual growth. Through personal anecdotes and wisdom from spiritual leaders, they explore the impact of believing in one's dreams and how it can transform lives.
