    Fat is one of the three essential macronutrients, alongside carbohydrates and proteins, that play a crucial role in supporting overall health and well-being. Unlike carbohydrates and proteins, which provide 4 calories per gram, fat is a concentrated source of energy, providing 9 calories per gram. Fats serve as a critical energy reserve for the body, helping to sustain prolonged physical activities and supporting vital organ functions. Moreover, fats are essential for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) and aid in the production of hormones and cell membranes.
