• You Already Have the Key: How God Often Reveals Who We Are by Reminding Us of Who He Is with Paul Daugherty, Ep. 235
    May 8 2025

Depression, anxiety, and emotional trauma are on the rise, even more so after the painful few years we’ve all been through. While the church has had an unfortunate track record of glossing over mental health issues, Paul Daugherty, pastor of the megachurch Victory and today’s guest on the podcast, believes it’s time for the church to break its silence. You can’t just pray trauma away. Depression and anxiety can affect even the most devoted believer. Therefore, in today’s conversation, Paul sits down with hosts, Zach & Josh, to share his own story of walking through anxiety and depression, helping others understand how frightening and debilitating mental health struggles can be, and talking vulnerably about the highs and lows of his healing journey. He also describes some of the biggest mental and emotional health issues he has seen people in his life and his congregation facing, including depression, anxiety, insecurity, mood swings, and the scars of trauma. Daugherty dives into scripture and lays a framework for understanding the spiritual truths behind each mental battle, and offers practical tips and strategies to help readers discover the door out of depression and into mental and emotional victory. The greatest takeaway from today’s conversation is that you may already have possession of the key to the door of hope and healing that you’ve been searching for all along!

    May 6 2025

On June 4th, 2019, country music singer Granger Smith was enjoying a final evening with his kids before heading to Nashville for the CMT Music Awards and his next tour. While helping his daughter London with her gymnastics, his youngest son fell into their pool. Granger did everything he could to get to him, but he was too late. River drowned, and Granger's world shattered. The days, weeks, and months that followed River's death sent Granger on a dark and painful journey. Every time he closed his eyes, he replayed the horrific event in his mind, and every time he opened his computer, he was bombarded by the critique and criticism of people who blamed him for the accident. Despite his best effort to get back on stage with a smile and song, it was all a façade. On the inside he was dying. Fortunately, that's not how his story ended. And now he is compelled to help people all around the world find strength, peace, and hope on the other side of tragedy. Tune in today to hear a heartfelt, tear-jerking, and vulnerable conversation as Granger reveals the messy path and process of mourning, yet also the ways in which God has met him in the midst of his mess time and time again.

  • The Heart of Worship: Cultivating a Grateful Heart & Trusting God’s Faithfulness with Renowned Singer, Songwriter, & Worship Leader, Mack Brock, Ep. 231
    Apr 24 2025

What does it truly mean to worship God? Worship in its purest form has simply been described as reverence and adoration for the Lord. One can actually be going through one of the most difficult times or seasons of their life, but still, come to God in reverence and adoration for WHO He is. Therefore, the worship we ought to bring should not be dependent on whether or not we’ve had a bad day or a bad life journey thus far. We are called to come to Him as we are, in our brokenness – with our “broken hallelujahs”. Joining us today to take a deeper dive into how we can experience the presence of God through the power of worship is one of the most well-known and renowned musicians and worship leaders of our day, Mack Brock! Mack has written and sang countless number 1 songs that so many of us play over the loud speakers of our cars and sing during Church! But today Mack discusses with us how worship has carried him through some of the most difficult times and seasons of his own personal life. Yes, worship is more than just a song. Our prayer is that that no matter what you may be going through, that after listening to this episode you would begin developing a heart postered toward worship for the days ahead.

  • The Empty Tomb Changes Everything: How Christ Defeated Death to Offer You Eternal Life with Senior Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church & Chancelor of Liberty University, Jonathan Falwell, Ep. 229
    Apr 17 2025

Many think of Easter as the day with eggs, bunnies, and chocolate candies, but in reality this day commemorates a day that changed everything! For this is a day where the tomb was found empty that now over 2 billion people around the world come together to reflect on, remember, and celebrate a Risen Savior, the Risen Christ! 1 Peter 1:3 says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." You see, the resurrection is the pillar and the foundation of our faith!! A day that reminds us, not only did Christ defeat sin by paying the ultimate sacrifice for our sins through a substitutionary death on the cross, but then by rising again 3 days later He defeated death, providing each and every one of us the opportunity to spend eternal life with HIM. By rising from the dead, Jesus Christ demonstrated that He had cleansed the guilt of our past and is able to help and walk alongside of us in our present. His resurrection provides us with an ever-present HOPE assuring us that our future is safe and secure. You see, the empty tomb is proof of Christ's deity, and it guarantees the future resurrection of His believers, those who have been saved. Romans 10:9 says, that “If you declare with your mouth that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved! However, many remain puzzled and confused asking questions such as, “Why did Jesus have to die?” or “Why did He have to die in that way?” or even “How do we know that the tomb was empty?” or lastly “If the tomb really was empty, how then should we live our lives?” Thankfully today we have Senior Pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church and Chancellor of Liberty University, Jonathan Falwell here to unpack all of these questions as he so elequently simplifies the good news of the gospel for us all to understand! Remember, Easter is not simply a moment or a part of history – Easter is the meaning and the point of history… Easter isn’t just about one day – the message of Easter is a lifestyle that we can live with every moment of every day! Happy Easter!
