    We loved sitting down with Nicole & Dracu to chat about long distance relationships, staying healthy on the road, supporting each other while both working as touring musicians and the strength in analogue love.

    They share their unique love story and navigating the challenges of working in the same industry and being apart a lot of the time!

    Nicole tours with her band The Darts (US) and her solo project Black Viiolet and Sebastian has his band Dracu - the godfather of Black Forest Rock N Roll and being together while they both have heavy touring schedules does not come without challenges. They find strength in supporting each other and being able to understand how the other is feeling and what they're experiencing! We also discuss the importance of unplugging and spending time face to face to connect with yourself and your loved ones!

    They both share their tips for keeping healthy on the road and how the priority has shifted to wellness and protecting their most valuable musical tools! We hope you love listening to their love story!

  • What we Risk in Sharing Misinformation & The Quest for Viral Content

    Today I really wanted to take a quick moment to sit down and briefly outline some trends I've seen and the risks of sharing misinformation. This isn't about different opinions. It comes down to sharing facts that have clearly and repeatedly been falsified, about the impact that AI has - even on fairly innocent topics and the impact that events over the past couple weeks have already had on the state of mental healthy for many of us.

    I believe it's always important to look at the facts from multiple sources. Stand up for human rights. And don't share blatant lies. Practice compassion and take care of each other!

    We can all do our little bit to add love to the world. To protect people. And to help bring us all back to a more level headed community across the globe.

    As I'm posting this, I see that the Metropolitan Police and a few other places on twitter have called to stop the further spread of old videos and information.

    Take care of yourselves and each other through all of this and try to look objectively at the situation looking at multiple sources. And you know what... take a break from all socials if you need to. It's good for your mental health!

    There's truthfully so much more to say on this and we just scratched the surface barely today. I hope you come away feeling lighter!

Himari shares her joy of performing at anime-focused events and the connection she fosters with fans. Himari shares how music has helped her overcome challenges and how she wants to bring hope and power to her audience.     We also went into detail about the vulnerability of putting oneself out there and the fear of being judged and how to overcome the feelings of self doubt that can creep in.

    We had a blast with Gerrod Harris from One in the Chamber / OITC discussing his journey with music! Hearing his story is one that can resonate with so many on the path of discovering music and becoming completely consumed with it.

    Gerrod shares his experiences studying jazz and how he moved into being in one of the up and coming rock bands in Canada. Gerrod carries a lot of skill and experiences within creating music, but also with managing his own band, writing for music publications as well as having his own podcast that goes deep within the cultural impacts of music and deep dives into a variety of albums! He shares his stories of studying jazz and how it helped him as a drummer and musician and his bandmates tremendously in growing as artists.

    We touch on how music has shaped our lives and the memories of music that shaped us while growing up and how you can never stop learning about music, technically, or even just the history or the "lore".
