In this episode, Susan and I sit down to discuss the impact that we believe embarking on this initiative has had on the students both former and present as well as the impact this has had on our school community and why we believe that other schools should consider engaging in an initiative like ours to promote inclusion and positive socio - emotional growth. 

This marks the final episode of talking to students at Ripley Huron Community School either in my current Grade 2/3 class or many from two years ago and last year. This podcast has symbolized, for me, that we all carry a light to shine onto others and we can do this through kindness. I am very proud of all involved in creating the content for this podcast and I am proud of myself for its inception through going live! Grade four students share their thoughts on what kindness means to them during this special visit to our Grade 2/3 class to record this episode. I was lucky enough to teach these three scholars and they share what effect engaging in kindness had on our class last year and the roll on effect that has continued this year in their own classroom. My former students, Reese, Carter and Grady drop by to join our Podcast. They were a part of the class where the Kindness messages began. In 2020, I started asking students to give a kind message to others and themselves. I found that it improved self-esteem, and confidence and supported positive interactions between classmates. They let us know what they think of kindness and the effect of the kind messaging on our class and pass on a kind message to some of their idols.
