  • Why are Anaesthetists United attempting legal action against the GMC?
    Sep 16 2024

In this episode, we talk to Dr Richard Marks, anaesthetist in London and co-founder of Anaesthetists United (AU) . They are now in a legal battle with the General Medical Council (GMC) over the way that regulation for PAs and AAs has been introduced.

Specifically, AU feels that delegating the setting of scope of practice to individual hospitals, rather than having a nationally-set standard, is a mistake and puts both patients and Associates themselves at risk.

AU are crowdfunding their legal case. You can contribute at https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/stop-misleading-patients/ and find out more about AU at www.anaesthetistsunited.com

And you can contact them at team@anaesthetistsunited.com
