Ihr Schicksal schildert Herta Müller am Beispiel Leopolds. Für die Aufnahmen zu dem atmosphärischen Hörspiel fuhr der vielfach ausgezeichnete Regisseur Kai Grehn an Originalschauplätze in die Ukraine, ließ alte Lager-Lieder neu einspielen und engagierte ein hochkarätiges Ensemble.

Der Hörspielzyklus "Der Ring des Nibelungen" , der mit "Das Rheingold" und "Die Walküre" begann, wird nun mit "Siegfried" fortgeführt. In den herausragend besetzten Hörspielen, beruhend auf den Libretti der Opern, tritt die Kraft von Wagners Sprache deutlich hervor. Die Wagner-Texte können so aufregend neu entdeckt werden.
