Born in Pennsylvania in 1868, Florence Foster adored music and as a girl was a talented pianist, but her wealthy father refused to allow her to study in Europe. In retaliation she eloped with Dr Frank Jenkins, but the marriage soon foundered, not least because the 18-year-old bride contracted syphilis on their wedding night.

Miles Devereaux, an ordinary, working class, family man, is thrust sixty years into the dazzling futuristic world of 2065 Bangkok, and into a life-and-death game of chess where the players and pieces' fates depend on each player's acumen. Requiring Miles to match wits and physical skills with an array of opponents while faced with solving the mystery of his time travel and how to return to his own time, ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK is a riveting adventure set in what might very well be our own future.

His dramatic time travel escape from Bangkok lands him in 1945 Budapest at the end of World War II. Miles stumbles upon a maverick troupe of war survivors hiding from the Russians and cleverly joins their ranks. There he discovers a stunning revelation. The stakes are high with only one night to succeed in getting home to 2005 or risk his very own existence.
