Doch Zoey hat Zuflucht auf der Isle of Skye gefunden, wo sie von Queen Sgiach darauf vorbereitet wird, ihre Nachfolgerin zu werden. Warum sollte sie also nach Tulsa zurückkehren?

Die Dinge stehen schlecht im House of Night. Zoeys Seele ist zerschmettert. Um sie herum ist alles zerstört, wofür sie je gekämpft hat.
