Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse was an Englishman who wrote novels, collections of short stories, and musical theatre. He enjoyed enormous success during a seventy career but is known today mostly for his humorous tales of Jeeves and his somewhat dim-witted but rich employer, Bertie Wooster. Wodehouse managed to create multiple layers of comedic complications as Jeeves strove to rescue his "young master" from various entanglements. Five of the earliest and freshest of the Jeeves and Bertie stories are collected in this volume.

More than a hundred years have passed since P. G. Wodehouse started writing of Bertie Wooster and his valet, Jeeves, but the stories have lost none of their humor. "Indiscretions of Archie" is a 1921 comedic novel by the British master of the genre, P. G. Wodehouse. The novel tells the story of impoverished, embarrassment-prone Archibald "Archie" Moffam (pronounced "Moom") and his difficult relationship with his art-collecting, hotel-owning, millionaire father-in-law Daniel Brewster, who is the father of Archie's new bride Lucille. Archie's attempts to ingratiate himself with Brewster only get him further into trouble. The story takes place in New York City.

Pudgy, scowling Ogden Ford, spoiled child of divorced parents with far more money than is good for them, is "the Little Nugget" - the El Dorado of the American kidnapping industry. "William Tell Told Again" (1904) is a retelling of the William Tell legend in prose and verse. The main prose was written by P. G. Wodehouse, while the verses were written by John W. Houghton.
