About this listen

More shifters. More beastmages. More power.

After taking down Dr. Ahriman the chimera shifter, I now have a handful of talismans. Except I don’t know how to use them. Thankfully, I’ve got a lead, because powering up the Talismans might be the only way my clan gets an edge on the Atlanteans.

The best one can offer. Its top notch and the plot thickens. The epilogue threw me for a seconds. The next one is gonna crack me up. I’m gonna laugh so hard.

Great book..... up until the last hour. Where my most hated cliche and troupe appears. Let me be candid here. I Hate, with a burning passion, when mc gets out of trouble or powers up when in the middle of losing due to mc magic (mc magic- no matter how bad the screw up everything works out great while losing little to nothing , so i don't actually teach the reader a lesson or learn one myself, because you know...Protagonist). I Loathe, when they use mc magic to fix the mc's epic stupidity; such as ruining a sneak attack, or cockily monologuing away your advantage only end up in the deep end. Guy says "It's a trap", I call bull. There was no trap, you literally followed the person surrounded him, then let him slip far enough away to enact his ONLY CONDITIONAL BASED CARD. Then have the nerve to cry things like "let them go, it's me you want".
This book nearly had 5 stars for a good story that followed and made sense in the world that was building, but I lost a lot of respect for the mc magic save at the end.

Lost Appreciation

DNF, Dante seems to have a bad habit of ruin his series with over confident idiots who somehow enslaves women just by existing. They don't train, they don't treat their women with any form of respect. Maybe Dante has done a series or more that actually has proper development of the character and isn't an idiot, but this isn't one of them.

Why...

Focused way to much on treating the women like a piece of meat and not like a person
The mc. Is a total ass couldn’t even finish this book won’t continue this series
Roz amazing as usual
Lewis does as the book dictates

Disappointed
