Another great group of characters to get to know

J.R. Ward really is a great writer of characters and engaging dialog. I enjoyed the mystery behind the story and having Butch revisit his human past was a fresh angle to the series. We love all the original characters so to bringing a few of them back into the story line while heading off on the Legacy Series and introducing the new characters is smart, and it works. It can't be easy for any author to write book after book after book about the same story line and cast of characters but J.R. Ward nails it! Everything about this book feels fresh and familiar at the same time. If you love the series, you will love this book. Winner.

Wow what a surprise

It was such a delight to read about these young people in this series. I was such a fan of the BDB and somehow stumbled upon the knowledge that there were more. The narrator Jim F. Is the absolute best bar none. He’s part of what makes the stories come to life. By the way, loved the interview at the end JR!! Thanks so much for some amazing listening!!

Boone!!!

Let me jump right in to the gloriness that is Madam J.R. Ward. When I tell you that there is nothing that she can write where I wonder what in the hell did I just read. Everything she writes is just pure amazement to me. I loved this entry in the BDB world. We got to see some of my favorite characters within this story. I have to admit that I really enjoyed Boone. We only got to see him on the periphery so we really did not know anything about him. I am glad that we got to see more of him. I loved this book.

I did not realized that Boone was from the higher class. He did not give that vibe at all and I am glad about that. Helaine was so fierce. I did not like the fact that she thought herself as defective but Boone let her know that was not the case. I liked seeing more of Butch. After his book, Lover Revealed, we really did not get to see much if him. I am glad that he got to use his detective skills.

The plot was everything that I expected form Ms. Ward. I liked the fact this book gave me BDB vibe when the Lessers where running around doing damage. I want more death and fighting and The Sinner is supposed to give me more of that. I cannot wait to learn more about Syn and why he is the way he is.

SN: Jim Frangione makes sure that ALL of the characters come to life. I love the fact that he narrators all of these books. He has such a presences to this series that I do not know what I would do if he no longer narrators this series.
