About this listen

When I see her, I have to have her.

The one they call Shelby.

But the humans have not given her to us. She remains behind the walls of the facility they have reclaimed. She remains with a male that does not deserve her.

This beautiful, enchanting creature with long black braids and bright eyes needs a real male, a master, a true protector. She needs me.

I will do whatever it takes to claim her.

I’ll kill.

I’ll lie.

I’ll steal.

No human, naga, or otherwise will keep us apart. Tonight, Shelby will be in my arms.

To hell with the rest.

Strap in this is a rollercoaster

This is a must read/listen if you have been following the series. So much happens with the world building. As far as the main characters, I loved and hated them for all the right story compelling reasons. Everyone is seriously flawed and you have to accept that as part of the story and this series. I was so on the fence with the first book, got settled with the second book, and this one just took me for a wild ride to the point I don't want the series to end.

There is so much that happens and is revealed that it's hard to review without giving away spoilers. That being said, there were little nuggets in the Naga reveals that could easily lead to a spin off series (or a few) which are so subtle you could miss them. It just made me so impressed with the crazy world Naomi has created. There are a few things I could nitpick, but honestly they are so insignificant to the actual stroy that they are only immersion breaking if obsessing over every detail.

I do recommend this book and now the entire series (even if it means powering through the frist book for the world building). I hope Black Adder isn't the last book in the series, but if it is, then I expect it to be bananas!

Favorite one so far

Really liked this one. Twists, turns, romance, answers answered, all wrapped up. Just wish the pod could have recreated a uterus for her

Good Series

This was a little slower than the previous two books, but it was still enjoyable. The narration was excellent. Unfortunately, the book ended in a huge cliffhanger without the Audible sequel offered.

The Sheer Twists!

OMG! What an amazing story. It will stick with me for a while. I wasn't expecting much of this but so much more and back story got revealed and all these little bread crumbs from previous books are making sense now. Was an amazing read. And I love how our narrators are changing up their voices slightly for each narration. I have honestly been looking forward to book 4 since we met this character and book one. here we go.

Intense Story!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏🌎
Character development: ☹️😳🥺☺️🥰

The heroine: Shelby - of the three women from the crew that landed on Earth, Shelby was the only one that wasn’t traded to the Naga males in exchange for Lurker technology. Shelby wasn’t traded because she told Peter, the exploration team leader, that she was pregnant by Collins, another member of the Team with whom she had a short contracted relationship before they found they were both going on the mission to Earth.

The Hero: Vagan - He saw Shelby early on and knows she is his mate. He went to Zaku to demand they get Shelby for him. He wasn’t thinking straight since he was crazed with lust and denial. He ended up being stabbed and is slowly recovering, but he has never been away from water for so long, when he sees the facility crumbling in on itself and he knows Shelby is inside.

The Story: Shelby has been helped by Collins when Peter keeps making her take pregnancy tests. He acts like he is on her side, but won’t go against Peter’s decisions. Collins is handsome, but he is a mess and though their relationship ended well, Shelby doesn’t like the fact that he has been acting like they are a couple just because they are faking her pregnancy together.

Vagan goes into the falling building to save Shelby and the building comes down upon them. He, Shelby and Collins end up stuck beneath the rubble and struggling to find a way out. This book has had the best and most involved story of the three books so far. I was glad to get some of the answers about the Lurkers, about how the Naga came to be on Earth and more.

Elizabeth Hart and John Masterson do the narration and they do a great job. I like the fact that Elizabeth puts a lot of emotion into her narration, she easily sounds, intelligent, nervous, afraid and more. John has a deep voice which works well for the alien naga males. The book is dual points of view, and done in dual narration which isn’t my favorite since the male narrator has to do female voices and vice versa.

It had a wonderful story! I loved the narrators male and female💙💙💙
I certainly hope this series continues even past Death Adder☠️☠️☠️ I know he is a bad naga! This series can go so many ways💙💙 Felt so bad for Collins!😪 He was really a good guy! But I'm sure the author has something for him in mind🥰 Death adder will be released January 10 2023! I simply can't wait!💙💙💙💙

Utterly amazing.

This book has been just as good as the previous 2. This book has an anti rely new plot with all the twists and turns we have come to love and expect. The action and intensity begin right at the beginning and never stops. This book is even more special in that we get answers to some very big questions. Do not hesitate to get this book if you have loved the previous 2 as much as I did. I can hardly wait for the next one.

Great character development

This series is pretty well done.
Book number 3 story is about the last woman left on the planet. She admits in the last book she’s not pregnant but she also has other secrets. The area they are camping at caves in. Certain she’s going to die. Two men come to save her and she’s in tough place. Survival for her life with two men.

This book has great character development. You understand more of what’s been hinted at. The main gal shows her growth in the choices made throughout the book and the inner battle she fights.

I also have to say you get a lot of questions answered in this book. Like a lot of them. Origin story all the way.
Amazing ending. With kind of a cliff hanger. But just a tiny one.

Narrative was well done so far in all the books.
