Publisher's summary

There’s only one thing he can do to protect her desire and her reputation...marry her.

Daisy Lenox has always felt invisible next her beautiful and vivacious sisters. But the new town doctor, Ethan James, changes all that. He watches her with an intensity she can’t deny. He’s the first to encourage her and the first to offer a stern reprimand when she needs it.

Doctor James has a secret...until Daisy Lenox follows him and learns the truth - nearly getting herself killed in the process. While caring for Daisy, Ethan is determined that she never takes such a chance with her life again.

This book was previously published as Daisy in the Wildflower Brides series.

Pronunciation

I’ve enjoyed all these short stories, however this book had a pronunciation of the “mercantile” had me cringing. I have never heard a more ridiculous version as was in this book. However overall I did enjoy the storyline and characters.

WHY can't this narrator prounce things right?

I like Vanessa's books but all are narrated by the same voice. At first I thought it was a computer voice...not reading for punctuation or stressing the right words in sentences but by the end of this book I don't care. I can't stand to hear her say "mer-CAN-teal" (mercantile) one more time! That is just the most annoying mispronounced word, there are many.

Great story

I loved how perfect they were for each other and the changes Daisy went through. She went from a naive young lady to a very good submissive wife.

Great book

I read this book when I first got it and I loved it. I wanted to relisten to the series and the book won’t play. Is anyone else having this issue? Was the book removed or what causing this issue.

Don’t Let the Cover Fool Ya!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This is a delightful novella about a sexually curious virgin stalking the towns’ new doctor, a true Southern Gentleman escaping the brutal aftermath of the Civil War. Yes the same era, the late 1880’s, as the other (free) book, but the cover art doesn’t match the contents of this deliciously erotic tale of the next Lenox Sister. There’s eight in all. I don’t know if the author has written a novella for each (non-biological) sister named after a flower. Anyways, bookish smart Daisy Lenox and the dashingly mysterious Dr. Ethan James share more than a passion for volumes of scientific literature.

Ms. Vale’s erotic western novella delivers all the hot feels, a wet and tantalizing tale filled with dirty talk, oral, anal play, spanking, and light Dom/Sub action. I love smut and Ms. Vale satisfies my kink.

The narrator sounds best at 0.9 speed, trust me. Unfortunately the fact that she sometimes forgets to use Doc’s distinctive drawl is a bit annoying.

Best Line: Right now I’m gonna to fill another spot inside you, right now.

Why is the title of the book named “Brands & Bows” after a Doctor and a Bluestocking?? Saddle up, go for a ride and see.

Great story

This story is about Dr Ethan James and Daisy Lennox. Daisy at first was head over heels with the new town doctor, that she actually started following him around until she was in an accident. Now, in order to preserve her innocence Ethan would marry her. Though it wasn't his intention to get married, he feels that he's very much interested with Daisy and feels that it was indeed the right decision. Lots of sexy exotica scenes.

Happy listening!!!

Incomplete storyline

There is no real storyline to this short story. It lacks. The person reading it is dull and monotone. Like listening to Ben Stein read to you.

It was hard to get through and a waste of a credit. Disappointing.

Reader is monotone

The reader read in monotone. Could not tell her female voice from her male voice. It made it hard to follow the story.
