About this listen

Jacari Thomson has had it all until she didn't.

Upon learning her father's poor investments have ruined the stability of her family and the advancement of her career, Jacari's disparity kicks in. What started out as an All-Star weekend centered around enjoyment turns into a devious plan to trap a baller and at the very least, clout. What she didn't expect was to catch feelings in the middle of her target catching a case.

Jaymerius White has worked long and hard not only on himself but his career. One weekend of fun changes his foreseeable future as an athlete. With his character and career under attack and his team scrambling to protect his image, Jaymerius is faced with more trouble than peace. While everything is hitting him at once, can he find peace within the chaos, or will everyone's come up be his demise?

Tune in to see how they fair through the schemes, known and unknown. Will caught feelings turn into something more?

I’m on whatever you on

Jacari and Jaymeris’s story drew me in immediately. The attraction and eventual love was authentic and real, but it was their individual struggles that tugged at me. Both of them dealt with narcissistic parents, low self-esteem, neglect and abandonment. To see them overcome those issues to still be decent humans and learn to love each other and accept love in return was beautiful. But now, I am still upset that these parents —well at least Jacari’s parents and that hateful grandma didn’t get their just consequences, and especially Jacari’s cousin and Giselle. They needed a trip to the upper room or at least the emergency room because then heauxs violated in the worst way. As always, Aubree be Pynning and Trei and Midnight Michael be narrating!

Great Story

The family dynamics of this couple were heavy! Both mothers were extremely toxic, as was Jacari’s grandmother. I loved Jacari & Logan’s friendship and the support of Jay’s teammates.

Midnite & Lauryn gave an awesome performance.

I’m looking forward to the next book.
