About this listen

Sienna's dreams lie in California, but when she discovers her grandmother's Nashville home has been foreclosed, she has no other choice than to move back to Music City, where she comes face-to-face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she'd see again - and who now holds the deed to her grandma's estate.

Millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe is just as surprised to find the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom. He still can't get the night Sienna spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as ever. Now, Lucas is determined to do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, so he makes a deal with her: If she spends 10 days with him, playing by his rules, he'll hand over the deed to her grandmother's home.

Though she agrees to the arrangement for her family's sake, Sienna struggles with the promises she's made to herself and a past that still haunts her. As Lucas' game of seduction continues and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world, she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured.

Critic reviews

"Not many authors can write 'bedroom talk' without it sounding a bit like a porno. But, man, Emily can, or should I say, Lucas? He's a rock star, and these lines just seem to fall out of his mouth and make me blush. He's sexy...." ( USA Today)

Must be another series

First of all, I’m thinking there will be another book because there’s too many unanswered questions. I don’t mind them but if you don’t like series this is just a word of warning.

The part I liked most about the story is that Lucas, a rock-n-roll star, met Sienna two years previously and they had a failed “hook-up”. Now their paths have crossed again and Lucas is determined that this time she won’t get away. What woman wouldn’t want to be in that situation??

I enjoyed this book. I listened to it in one sitting. It’s not in my Top 10 but in my opinion it was worth my credit and I will be looking for the next book.

Ehhh....it was ok. Not great, unfortunately!

Would you try another book from Emily Snow and/or Elizbeth Louise?

Maybe, although, it would have to be highly rated.

Any additional comments?

This book was missing a few chapters from the ebook. Otherwise, it was just choppy and not believable. I was not impressed. I don't hunk it was worth the credit.

I Devoured This. Now I Want More.

This was a good contemporary romance. The chemistry was hot but it left me with so many questions. I imagine there must be more books to come for this couple. The narrator did a nice job with both voices and provided a pleasant listening experience.

Easy Listen but just ok

Although this book is about a tortured rock star it does not have the excitement of other books of this genre. Sienna and Lucas have chemistry and that was my favourite part. It did not have as much BDSM as it leads you to believe. I like the fact that they are not an easy paring. I like that she is struggling and although Lucas is rich it is not all about the money and extravagances in this book. I think this book as an easy listen and keeps your interest well enough. At times I did find it a bit slow and was just thinking ok get it over with. I do like books that have chemistry and anticipation in getting together. I am frustrated that we don’t know the secrete between Lucas and Sam. It is also frustrating that audible had the second book in the series and now does not. I would say wait and read it when the second book is available again. It is also cheap enough to buy vs using a credit. I got it on sale so was not disappointed.

Not the entire book! There are 5 chapters missing

I have read this book and was looking forward to it in audio. I was extremely disappointed to that there are 5 chapters at the end of the book that are missing. I have let Audible know but have not yet heard back from them.

I find myself bored...

This book is really hard for me to review. This book just left me in a blah state. The book was enjoyable enough that I continued to listen but not enough that I was dying to continue. There were many times when I was bored out of my mind.

Sienna and Lucas were both very annoying at times. Sienna had an issue with being too nice and letting people run all over her. I usually like the stronger heroines so it was tough at times with Sienna.

Lucas, meh! For being this super duper sexy rockstar God, he really didn’t do it for me. He seemed okay, but just didn’t exude that rock star aura that most heroes like him would. I’m okay with tension but when one of them is hot and cold it just drives me nuts. I kind of want to yell, “Man up Lucas”! He has some skeletons in his closet and we caught a glimpse of that with the ex wife scenes. I’m slightly curious as to what it can be, but not enough.

I did like Kylie, a secondary character, which is Lucas’ sister. She was different and unique and I think her story may be more interesting.
Although I know they have another book following this one…I’m not sure that I will ever continue to find out more of their story.

Narrator note: Elizabeth Louise had a good enough performance. She sounded very girlish and young but her performance didn’t stick out either.

Review: Devoured

If you could sum up Devoured in three words, what would they be?

Tortured Rock Star!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Devoured?

I really enjoyed the scene at the club owned by a friend's parents where a "Your Toxic Sequel" cover band was playing. The part where Lucas was watching Sienna when he was singing.

Have you listened to any of Elizbeth Louise’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is the first performance of Elizabeth Louise's that I have heard.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

She survived her own demons, can they survive his together.

Any additional comments?

First and foremost - the male cover model for this book (among so many others) is Dusan Novakovic.

The Narrator did a very good job with this book. Being a female narrator, she still managed to do a believable male POV. It was NOT overdone as some narrator's tend to do. It's very important to me that I enjoy who I'm listening to as well as enjoying the story itself. Well done Elizabeth Louise, your performance was great.

Okay - Devoured by Emily Snow is a somewhat steamy romance novel about a rock star, Lucas Wolfe, and his one that got away, Sienna Jensen. I went into this book loving it. Yeah, Sienna was a little whiny and Lucas was a bit of an ass-hat, but you just know it's going somewhere. There cannot be a happy ending if the book starts out with nothing to improve on. I read some of the reviews that were complaining about the insecurities of Sienna or whatever. I disagree, but then I'm not an overly critical person. Not always a good thing if you make a habit of posting reviews. Oh well.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the crappy family life and the overcoming adversity and the tortured souls etc. Sienna has her funny moments...
This is the second time this evening I’ve felt bad for offending Kylie and if this time is anything like the first, she’s about to punch me square in the vagina.
There's enough sexual tension between Lucas and Sienna to drive you crazy...
Lucas spears a fork into his salad and takes a bite. I study the way he chews—slow, deliberate movements. Tiny flicks of his tongue that causes my body to burn. He turns eating, something that is so basic, into a seductive art. I catch myself sinking my teeth into my own lip as I imagine him drawing it in between his teeth.
and...
And I find myself wanting to wake-up. Wanting to open my eyes and kiss him. Wanting him to devour me just a little more.

I am definitely eagerly awaiting the release of book two, Consumed

More?

What made the experience of listening to Devoured the most enjoyable?

The narrator was wonderful...... She made me want to continue listening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Devoured?

When Sienna stood up for herself finally.

What does Elizbeth Louise bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

her accents and voice changes are wonderful

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I giggled a few time!

Any additional comments?

I know that there must be more to their story. There are quite a few questions/concerns that have not been answered. So.... if there is another book in the series it's a great book worth the credit but if there isn't another, don't waste your time. I would put this on your wish list and wait and see!

Enjoyable

I liked this book, but I couldn't help being a little disappointed after first reading the novella that leads into this book. The novella told the story from both characters point of review, this book only told the story from woman's side.

Kinda let down

After reading the novella, which was excellent! I was excited to download this book as soon as it became available... I could've waited. It was just lukewarm and absolutely no chemistry between the main characters, and the build up was so tediously long I was thinking to myself it if I were her I'd be outta there long ago!
