Publisher's summary

Dragos Cuelebre, Lord of the Wyr, needs to throw a party without maiming anyone. That isn't exactly as easy as it might sound.

After the destructive events of the last 18 months, the Elder Races are heading to Washington, DC to foster peace with humankind. Not known for his diplomacy skills, Dragos must rely on his mate Pia to help navigate a battlefield of words and polite smiles rather than claws. With Dragos's mating instinct riding close to the surface, his temper is more volatile than ever and the threat of violence hovers in the air.

Then the human spouse of a prominent politician winds up murdered and Dragos and Pia must race against time to hunt down those behind it before they are held responsible for the crime.

Excellent Novella in The World of Dragos and Pia

This is an excellent novella in the world of Dragos and Pia Cuelebre, head of the Wyr Court, based in New York. They make a life changing decision before heading off to a summit in Washington D.C. which also turns eventful.
Eastlake does a decent job of narration.
Recommend.

I LOVE Thea Harrison stories!!!!!

I am revisiting this book. Thea Harrison is a master of stories!!!! Especially this family of characters, they are sooooo beautiful. I have to read the whole collection again from time to time. I always learn something new from the characters, get inspired by them, or acquire more vocabulary and skills for my own life and writing.

GOOD SHORT STORY. WELL WRITTEN AND WELL PEROFRMED.

The love between Dragos and Pia has always been so......romantics! I like their concern for each other. The news of their expecting another baby is so thrilling. Can't wait for the baby 's appearance.

Politically Incorrect and a must read.

If you could sum up Dragos Goes to Washington in three words, what would they be?

Interesting drama-lama.

What did you like best about this story?

When Pia stumbles into the closet. What she finds and how the others react. Priceless, really.

Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love Sophie Eastlake's performance. She has the characters' voices down and makes it super fun for me to listen.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Towards the end when Pia finds out that Drago's POW worked but it comes with some not so good news. I liked that Dragos does have deep feelings and is not afraid to show it or express it.

Any additional comments?

I loved this story as well. It has lots of humor and humanitarian aspects when you listen really close.

Another great elder races short story

There really isn't anything more I can say that I haven't already said in previous reviews of the series. Every last one is great, great. great. I love every character and Thea writes every story so it continues the saga, but is fresh and never boring or repetitive. No one could narrate this series as well as Sophie Eastlake.

Great series!

Love the banter between the characters. I have enjoyed every book in the series. Sometimes there is a little to much sex and I want to get on with the story but still love the books.
