About this listen

Samantha and Mason are together. Everyone knows it. But not everyone is dealing with it. While Mason is ready to give them all the middle finger, there's one who is not going away: her mother. Threats are issued. Ultimatums are given. Even blackmail is used. But only Samantha can put a stop to Analise. However, when a trauma from her past is triggered, she may not have the courage or strength to do what's needed. And if she doesn't, Mason's future could be destroyed.

Love Logan

I liked this book. Interested to find out about Nate and Mason's relationship. there's definately a story there. And holy mean girls; glad i didn't have girls like that at my school and Analise is CRAZY. I love Logan. He's so funny to me

Soo good

This is one of my favorite new adult series. I love the chemistry between all the characters. The tight knit bond that is formed between Sam, Mason and Logan. The drama that unfolds. I could not put it down. Very well written- could not ask for more.

Narration was awesome as always. Great production.

Always come back to this one

I love Tijan as an author and Sam as a character, I do wish she had a bit of self reflection every now and again, this book is an older one and I’m re reading it as I’m older now so that’s probably why I take issue with how she handles something’s but I hope as I continue rereading the series she’s grows a little.

Good

I like this story, but Sam is really getting on my nerves. She was strong and tough in book one. Now she’s always having panic attacks and running away from her issues. I don’t understand why she is so passive now. It’s irritating

4.5 stars

I liked this book better than the first but the main female character still got on my nerves a little. She complains about being alone but purposely doesn’t tell her boyfriend anything until sh-t hits the fan. Her catatonic melt downs are getting old too. Also nobody communicates! Really if I heard that someone blackmailed someone to keep out of my life, I would be on the phone that second asking what the heck is going on. These are smart people right? Becky took that photo, why don’t they record one of Sams mom’s crazy meltdowns? I feel the next book will be a pivotal book in the series because the drama of the new school and anxiety of Mason leaving for college should be prominent in the next book. Hopefully Samantha will start getting over some of her issues so she’s not so annoying. At least she’s not running or obsessing about running so much.

More twists and turns

I really liked getting to know these characters even more and getting some questions answered and the twists and turns of the story. Narration is done well and it's an entertaining listen the series is meant to be read in order.

Samantha, Interrupted.

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 🖤💙❤️💜🩵
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘📔

Narration type: Solo Narration

The heroine: Samantha - her family is a mess. She lives with her mother at the Kade mansion with her mother’s fiancé James Kade and his two sons, Logan and Mason. The dad who raised her is in a new relationship, and her relationship with him isn’t good. Logan and Mason’s mother is now in a relationship with Sam’s birth father. Now everyone knows about her relationship with Mason and her mother is determined to keep them apart. Not to mention the fact that she no longer has any friends aside from Mason, Logan and Nate. The girls at both Fallen Crest Academy and Fallen Crest Public school hate her so much that they have been pushing her around.

The Hero: Mason - he is the star football player at Fallen Crest Public school, destined to play football in college then get drafted to the NFL. All the girls in Fallen Crest want him, and though he can hook up any time he wants, he hasn’t been in a relationship before. So, when the relationship between him and Sam is outed, the girls who wanted to be the one for Mason are not happy. They think he is using her and that it will be short lived, but Mason really loves Sam.

The Story: when Sam’s mother Analise threatens to leave James if he doesn’t find a way to break up Sam and Mason, she gets her way. James kicks out Mason and Logan, cuts off their phones and Analise threatens to have Mason arrested for statutory rape since he is eighteen and Sam is still seventeen. Though Sam only has a month till her birthday, she hasn’t been doing well emotionally, so it is hard on her. Sam runs and runs to help with her anxiety, she sometimes runs up to five hours a day. When Sam starts remembering trauma from her past, she starts to get worse without Mason around to hug her and tell her everything would be ok.

I love this series since the characters are so relatable. Sam isn’t perfect, she has been through a lot, and she has problems dealing with her issues. I also love the fact that even though she got the guy all the girls want, she doesn’t have an easy road of it and has to be strong to deal with the backlash. I also think it is great that Sam takes her coping mechanism, running and turns it into her strength when she gets a job at a bar and joins the track team.

This audiobook was told in Sam’s points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Saskia Maarleveld. She has a terrific voice and sounds very natural. She is great at doing different voices for different characters.

Fallen for the Kades

It's not hard to fall for a Kade. But the drama that comes with it- is never ending.

love this series! I read it a couple of years ago and am rereading it almost annually. On a whim I bought the audiobooks, so now I can listen while I clean.

as Logan would say Let's get wasted!
