My crush has Daddy written all over him.
The minute I laid eyes on him, he became my new hobby. I turned on the charm to win him over, only to get friend-zoned. The more time we spend together, the more glimpses I get of the Daddy he’s hiding under his no-dating-allowed exterior. Unfortunately for Saint, a Daddy is exactly what this boy is looking for.
I have no intention of staying friends with him, but with every platonic interaction, I start feeling things I never have before. And not just about the sexy Scottish object of my affection.
I wasn’t looking for someone to fix me, but if I let him in, we might have something amazing here.
If we can just shake the ghosts of the past....
Fix Me is a Daddy/boy story with a doting but reluctant Daddy, a bratty party boy in need of some structure, and fun times with a kilt. It is Book Two in the Tattoos and Temptation series, featuring hot Miami nights, Latin desserts, and guys with ink.
It can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Kale Williams’ vocal performance on the Fix Me audiobook is a stunning tour de force. His voice is like silk – smooth, sultry, and sexy in equal measure. He creates a soothing ambiance with the relaxing rise and fall cadence of his words, like the susurration of a flowing river. He effortlessly spins out the story, coaxing you to fall helplessly into the captivating words of Ms. Monroe’s romance, surrounded by the aura of happiness and home he creates.
In Fix Me, Mr. Williams is utterly transformative. He doesn’t simply tell the story. He creates the story, expanding it into something larger and more consuming than it was on paper. A pretty remarkable feat given Ms. Monroe’s excellent source material. Multi-layered, subtext-filled, seemingly simple stories are the hallmark of Ms. Monroe’s work. Yet Mr. Williams uses his voice alone to peel back some of those layers, communicating the story in a unique, breathtaking way.
Fix Me focuses on Saint and Casper. Saint is the owner of the Latin bakery Dulce Santo where Briar, from the first book, Marry Me, works. Casper is a talented yet lonely tattoo artist at Black Heart, the tattoo shop owned by Marry Me’s Jude, Briar’s fiancé. In Marry Me, we meet Saint and Casper, see their immediate attraction, and get hints that they each have a pain-filled backstory. Indeed, Fix Me exposes that Saint and Casper are both traumatized by events from a prior relationship, albeit in different ways. But they find a way to “fix” what’s broken and heal each other.
This is an opposites attract, age-gap romance with a Daddy/boy dynamic that doesn’t veer into dom/sub territory. Saint is too sweet, loving, and doting to be a true Dom. But that’s a perfect match for what Casper needs: structure with gentle handling. Saint and Casper’s relationship works well. It’s engaging, authentic, and full of sizzling chemistry, sweet acceptance, and love.
Admittedly, when I read Fix Me the first time, without audio, I couldn’t quite get a handle on Saint. To me, he presented a confounding mixture of stiff formality and saccharine, besotted endearments. It was difficult to fully grasp his complex personality from the pages. But Kale Williams’ impeccable portrayal of Saint resolved the ambiguity. Mr. Williams uses a rich but subtle tone, full of life and depth, perfectly reflective of Saint. With proper inflections, pacing, and emphasis – all of which Mr. Williams provides like a master class in narration – the facets of Saint’s character meld into one beautiful human being. He’s a man trying to escape from grief-driven, self-imposed romantic isolation. He has a huge heart that he wants to share but he’s afraid.
Saint’s gorgeous personality shows through in the warmth of his Scottish brogue, which Mr. Williams makes into some seriously heady stuff when it rolls off his tongue. He gives it a warm, sweet lilt that will have you sighing and swooning. But then he’ll descend into a panty-melting growl, and holy hell, it’s a five-alarm fire. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I wanted to wrap myself up in it and never leave.
Kale Williams’ performance in Fix Me is better than Xanax. He makes it so easy to lose yourself and let all your stress just melt away. The soothing, relaxing nature of his dulcet tones keeps you entranced. Six hours fly by, yet it doesn’t feel like it’s been long enough. As I approached the end of Fix Me, I began mourning the loss before it was even over. I’d endlessly listen to Mr. Williams, so stringing together a back-to-back soundtrack of Ms. Monroe’s Tattoos & Temptation audios – on repeat – sounds like a perfect solution. I can’t think of a better way to spend time.
I give my highest recommendation to the amazing Fix Me audiobook from this inspired Mia Monroe/Kale Williams collaboration. Grab this audio and enjoy.
Kale Williams' Scottish brogue is to die for
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
A friendship which starts to build into love as they slowly work through their baggage and past together as Saint taps into his inner Daddy to calm the overzealous boy that Casper is.
A perfect compliment is what they are and they build a love that is proves to be lasting as well.
This is a captivating tale to listen to with amazing characters and some great supporting characters. The emotion, humor and passion will keep you engrossed in this tale.
The narration was splendid, especially the brogue in which Saints voice was vocalized in which made each character easily discernible. Mr Williams really outdid himself with this one.
