Book two of Brides of the Kindred. Book one, Claimed, is also available in audio. Books three and four, Sought and Found, are coming to audio by the end of 2015.
Sophia Waterhouse has always been afraid of needles and vampires, so there's no way she wants anything to do with a modern-day Count Dracula - even if he does come wrapped in the package of a huge Kindred warrior with blond hair and ice-blue eyes. She's only on the Kindred Mothership to participate in her sister Liv's wedding, and that's all.
Sylvan is a Tranq Kindred who has made a sacred vow never to call a bride. After a devastating rejection on his home planet, his heart is a block of ice no one can melt - or so he thinks until he meets Sophia.
When their ship is forced down in the middle of a rugged mountain range, Sophia and Sylvan are stranded. Running for their lives, they have only each other to depend on. Will they give in to the intense attraction between them, or will the evil hunting Sophia take its toll? You'll have to listen to Brides of the Kindred book two - Hunted to find out.

The world Evangeline has created is unique with interesting concepts and the character development was great. There are several different POV’s and I really enjoyed learning about the different characters; even the bad ones. The plot is well written and will transition smoothly into the next book where we will learn more about the existing characters as well as new ones.
Overall, I was very pleased with the story and have actually recommended this series to several of my friends. So far, they’ve all said positive things about this series.
**Recommended for those who like Sci-fi Romances with a little erotica thrown in to spice it up!
Not Bad....Not Bad At All! :-)

Like how the Kindred go into rage/revenge for any past transgression a human male did their future bride.
Narration was good but still prefer a male to do their own voice not a women.

I really liked the progression of the plot with the AllFather and the Scourge, unfortunately, other parts of the book were drawn out so far my mind started to wander. I get it, Sophie has major issues from her past and is unwilling to even try with Sylvan. I get having fears, but he had to prove himself way too much. He was a touch stilted in his narratives, but you get used to it after a time.
This is a spicy read, although most of the story for the leads is just foreplay. It has to do with the whole Mating Bond, I find that is a pattern for this series, saving the sex for the end. There is plenty of steam in the beginning, we get an extra naughty wedding night for Baird and Olivia. I knew he had that Dom thing in him!
The audiobook was once again narrated by Anne Johnstonbrown, who I thoroughly enjoyed! She has a great smooth tone and swift pace that helped move the story at slower moments. I enjoy her energy throughout the read. She has a terrific balance in the male and female voices. Definitely hope she stays with the series.
The narrative is mixed between the two leads and then supporting characters as well. It was great for understanding the motivations and endless issues. While I could see one of the past events as a roadblock for the couple, the medical one was annoying. I just wanted to shake some sense into her, because he was just so terrific. The scenes with Kat and the twins were interesting and made me salivate for their story. I enjoy these books, however, I find myself preferring the storyline and wishing for less steam. I know, it was a surprise for me too. All the back and forth repetition distracted from things in my opinion.
I am still eager for the next book in the series. I enjoy the plotlines, they are very intriguing! BTW, beware tears at the end! You see it coming a mile away, still it pulls those heart stings! Oh the feels.
I was wishing for more

This is where it all starts to build though. Claimed was just the tip. But Hunted? This is where you start to get some nice satisfying strokes. The universe begins to expand and you get a greater appreciation for just how much thought went into this expansive universe and as always you start to see the set up for the next book.
I will warn though, while claimed dealt with some baggage from previous relationships this is where things get real. There’s actual hurt and if you’re like me you’re gonna have that moment where you want to beat the hell out of a fictional character. But at the same time it makes the growth more satisfying. You understand their reluctance and fear even if you want them together you fault them. But as they grow and overcome that fear it makes the relationship between them so much stronger than in Claimed. It’s worth a read and this book is the reason I’m still reading. It’s cheese but cheese is good.
Right in the feels.

What did you like best about Hunted? What did you like least?

I want to learn more about the Old Father's son, his mother and I am hoping he won't become as his father. I cried when he had to activate the pill in order to safe his pet.
If it wasn't because of the nagging and annoying voice for the female's this series would be flawless.
Don't get me wrong, it's a good book as I said before, is just the women that are somewhat annoying at times.
Good book!
