About this listen

It wasn't his fault she lay broken and battered. He wasn't responsible for the injuries covering her bruised body. Her heart, however, told a different story. She endured the pain of its jagged edges as it shattered against her chest, ripping through the hope she once held. Her spirit was broken, and only one man was to blame for that.

Cassandra Clarke had known better than to trust her all to a man like Logan West. She'd thought he was different - a better man than he'd portrayed to others. A man worth risking it all for. But she was wrong and would never make that mistake again.

Faced with Logan's persistence, Cassandra must find the strength to keep her guard up or risk falling again for the one man her body feels is... irreplaceable.

Contains mature themes.

Cassandra is so Frustrating!

She is so back and forth, one minute she wants Logan, and communicates it with actions, then when he responds she acts all violated and mortified. But her internal monologues are all about fighting how it feels so right but it's so wrong, he makes her feel so wonderful, unlike anyone has ever been able to, but he's not right for it. Like follow your heart, girl! She is so frustrating! Her friends even tell her she's acting harsh, which makes me happy. It gets to the point where she's actually playing him, when he never really wanted to play her, and tries to communicate that. She almost tries to tell him what he wants, which is unfair. End rant.

Anyway, this series is great, I've loved it and am thoroughly enjoying it. The growth of the characters is interesting and dynamic especially for Logan, and Xe Sands does an amazing job bringing them to life. I just wish the MC was a little more in control of her emotions and wasn't in so much denial. I almost need to be reading this with a group of friends, to talk about it. LOL! Overall Angela Graham has created an amazing story of love, growth, perseverance over hardships and more.

Loved it!

Love how this series is progressing! I liked book one and was skeptical about book two only because often in a trilogy the second books seems to drag on! This was great, looking forwArd to seeing how the author wraps this one up!

Too much angst

I listened to the first book and wanted to know what happened so went to the second. Now I see what the other reviews mean about the Cassie character. This could’ve been half a book. I started forwarding to get it the end. Which now leads to the 3rd book 🙄. I started listening and am already over it lol.
This should be listed as suspense??? Not romantic. Cause this is romance - it’s torture.

XE sands does a good mfc and mmc voice. Her child’s voice is odd as well as the other female characters.

Idk. Not the worst but it just gets more annoying rather than interesting.

:(

I am so disappointed! I enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to the second. i am so let down. Cassie has become flaky, whiny and irrational. It became very tiresome and frustrating. I like the supporting characters and will try the next book.

Couldn't do it...

I found the plot very repetitive. The same base situation over and over and over and over again.

Some might like that pace, but this just wasn't for me. The first book was good, this one just dragged out, and I had to step away at the half way mark.

Replaceable

The first book was so good....this one not so much.
Logan messes up. Cassie can't forgive him, yet still loves him and wants to sleep with him and hang out with his son....yeah ok.
I get the whole drama but it lasted for about 7 hours of the book, there was only so much insecurity I could take. Only so much 'boo hoo I can't trust him.' And Logan's second mistake was too annoying, but Cassie reacts in a way that I thought was not true to her character.
It made it hard to root for them. But I trudged on because I knew they would make up and hopefully the story would get better. It had it's good moments but I was disappointed for the most part.
Honestly I would have been happy just reading a summary and maybe listening to the last hour of the book and just skip to the 3rd book.

Disappointed

Irreplaceable by Angela Graham (Audiobook)
Narrated by Xe Sands
Series: Harmony book 2

2 Stars - I was disappointed in this book. I truly enjoyed the first, and I think the author had good intentions to try and draw it out in 3 books.. (yes this book also has cliffhanger of sorts) but for me it fell flat and I lost interest.

Cassandra’s lack of confidence that Logan could love her even though he works hard to show her how he feels, frustrated me. I missed the fun flirtiness of the first book. This seemed to be more of Logan sort grovelling or trying extra hard to be there to gain back her trust.- Cassandra should either trust him or not.

I am not going to read the third book. Personally, I think all of this could have been accomplished in one book, and it would have been a great book! That said, I do see many great reviews for this story, (for all 3 books actually) so perhaps I am just someone who isn't into one couple's story that span more than one book. I like a book to have a beginning middle and a firm ending. If you like those drawn out romances, I bet you would enjoy this one.

Xe Sands did a wonderful job narrating.
