About this listen

She knew how to run and hide. Now she must learn how to stand and fight.

After years of hiding from her past, Lydia Anderson confronted all her demons to take her place at the heart of Pack Saint Clair at last. But just as she was poised to claim her victory and her lovers, one of them was ripped from her arms and from the pack itself. Rhett Cooper faces criminal charges far from home, and Lydia’s heat may arrive before he can be freed.

To claim Lydia as their bond mate, Pack Saint Clair must shake free of the treacherous Seth Douglas once and for all while finding a way to bring Rhett home. As they fight for their future, any mistake could cost them everything they’ve worked so hard to achieve.

They’re running out of time and options with enemies closing in on all sides. The difficult choices ahead will alter the course of Lydia’s life, and the lives of her chosen family, forever.

Laurels and Liquor is the final book in the Pack Saint Clair series and will give our heroes the happily ever after we've been waiting for. This series contains MMMFF/poly dynamics, as well as BDSM themes. Please reference the author's note at the beginning of the book for a full list of potential triggers discussed in this book.

This was an epic conclusion...

Once upon a time, I decided to check out this author because I loved a cover … I am so glad!

After books 1 & 2 in this series, this was obviously an absolute must-read! This installment has lots of drama still to finish unfolding and then of course, resolve so it’s intense and non-stop and the world-building, all the while, is absolutely stellar.

I expect this book has something for everyone, as it hits so many tropes and k!nks:

🍾 Crime.
🌿 Extortion.
🍾 A / B / O dynamic, but with humans!
🌿 Lots of steam, multiple partners, group scenes.
🍾 Light beedee-essemm (Cens0red 🙄.)
🌿 Praise.
🍾 F/F.
🌿 M/M.
🍾 Strong family bonds and found family.
🌿 Vengeance.
🍾 0mega heat.
🌿 Multiple alphas.
🍾 Scandal.
🌿 Abü$e.
🍾 F!ght scenes, lots of action.
🌿 Lots of witty banter.
🍾 Plotting, scheming.
🌿Daddy / DDLG.
🍾Male d0m / female d0mme.
🌿Rope play.
🍾Violence

*There’s no way I listed everything with so much going on!

Not a fan of the DDLG aspect, but the way this book packs in SO MANY k!nks and tropes, there’s bound to be something for everyone … and few are likely to like every single one, right? It wasn’t depicted a ton and didn’t really have a chance to take away from my reader experience.

There was a solid plot for sure, but there was also ***a lot*** of steam. There were several chapters of pure steam—though, with an omega-heat, this is realistic.

The action scenes were fun—is there anything this author can’t do? 100% would read more from this author, based on this series.

Also:
Excellent character evolution, particularly for the FMC! This took some skill.

If You're Looking for a Good Pack Heat...

Lydia found happiness and safety with Pack Saint Clair but now one of her own has been hurt and imprisoned and it's her fault. Her past and her family have to be dealt with once and for all. But her past is not their only problem. The pack also has to cut the bond with Seth before they can embrace the future they want with Lydia. And this all needs to happen before Lydia's heat.

This wasn't exactly the conclusion I hoped for but it did tie up all of the storylines, some more successfully than others. I liked the character growth Lydia displayed. She finally stopped feeling so insecure and unworthy. I enjoyed her friendship with Caleb and his Omega as well. I loved the confrontation with her family but wished it had gone further. I also liked the Seth storyline and its outcome. So, it sounds like I loved the book, right? Not exactly. This was only a small part of the book. The rest was sex. If you are looking for a good heat, this is your book. If you are looking for multiple heat in one book, look no further. There is SO MUCH SEX I started to lose interest. I will say this is the best poly book I have read. I prefer RH and believe some of the relationships felt forced but I can recognize how balanced the sex scenes were.

Narrators Maeve York and Matt Haynes did a fantastic job bringing Pack Saint Clair to life. Each character had a unique, easily identifiable voice that enhanced their character. Well done!

The perfect ending to a great series!

The perfect ending to a great series! All loose ends tied up nicely and there is even an opening for a new spin-off series for this world. I am interested in Gideon's pack.
This final installment had Lydia facing her demons, with a snarl of rage on her face! I loved it! A lot of s3x scenes with FF and FFMMM and all other variations. I loved this series so much because Lydia actual did what an omega is suppose to do, she brought the failing pack back together and made their bond stronger. I would totally rec this series to anyone that doesnt mind MM.

4.5 star listen

What a fantastic ending
I didn’t know I needed all of this to happen but I’m so glad it did. Fricken fantastic. Also the Easter eggs of what I’m guessing an upcoming series by the same author. I will 100% listen to this authors audio books again in future. The narration was done fabulously. For me this is the exact right mix of smut and storyline.
Worth the listen
Great series.

Pack Saint Clair

Loved all of PACK SAINT CLAIR books. I even bought the special edition book. I can't wait for that book to come out on audible. To be able to listen to all 3 books as one is something I'm looking forward to. Also, I'f you loved these books, make sure to read Gilded Dreams, you won't be able to put it down once you start reading.

Great Conclusion!

This is the third book in the Pack Saint Clair Series, a Omegaverse RH Romance (MM, MMF, FF, poly relationships). Lydia, Lucas, Rhett, Mateo and Lex' story continues where the first book left off. The chemistry is sizzling hot. This is a great and entertaining conclusion to this captivating series. The storyline is original, filled with danger, mystery, passion, and twists and turns. Matt Haynes and Maeve York did an excellent job bringing this story to life. #PFPAudio

Saving the best for last!

This was one of the best finales I have listened to in awhile. Sometimes you get an amazing duet, trilogy, series and the finale in the last book is rushed/not as detailed/a disappointment, but that was not the case with book 3 of this amazing omegaverse poly trilogy.

We knew things weren’t going to resolve themselves as cleanly as the author would have wanted us to think, based on how much time was still left in the book haha. I appreciated the twists. We knew some were coming, it was just a matter of time. I will say the final confrontation DID NOT DISAPPOINT (yes I am repeating myself for a reason). The mind games from Seth and Darren, the attacks that happened at the end between the pack and those two, how they were dealt with at the end. It all was done really well. I don’t give anything away but boy is Lydia an even more BA character that I already thought haha. She has become one of my favorite characters, and I don’t say that lightly.

I honestly loved getting to see more relationship building within the pack (again won’t spoil anything) but I liked how they all had their own relationships (some new, some solid already). I was confused with Rhett and Alex but all the other combos made sense to me haha. The steam was off the charts, I did wish some of the kinks were done further a little bit (some of the primal play was 🔥 but I thought could have been revisited or pushed a little more based on the characters’ reactions. I am not normally a F/F reader but I loved Lydia and Alex’s relationship. I was happy to see Alex FINALLY let her pack in fully, she was very frustrating for everyone at some point, but her character was the most complex and awesome to see finally give in 🤣. I fell for Mateo even more in this one, wanted to hug Lucas so much more than before, he feelings towards the end broke my heart but that epilogue made up for it!!! In terms of the plot, I loved seeing Lydia stand up to her parents for once. I would have loved to see Darren’s parents get the same treatment. I am very intrigued by Jason and our bestie and how that will end up. I loved Caleb and Sylvie, they were so adorable and I want a Caleb in my life as a bigger protector/brother figure haha. I also was intrigued by the morally grey side characters that may have found an omega by the end of the series (relation to Alex and the secret mafia/drug guy genius). I am gonna have to search to see any spinoffs from this world have been released yet so I can snatch those up!

Narrator was great, would give it closer to 4.5 stars (almost rounded it up to 5 but again the accent issue inconsistency was a tad annoying, not gonna lie). I will say the emotion in this book was astounding and these narrators didnt back down from a challenge. The turmoil, fear, anger, sadness, happiness, lust, etc. So many strong emotions, a whirlwind sometimes that changed, and both narrators did a fabulously job getting into character and performing these scenes so well. They did this 3rd one justice, that’s for sure! I do listen at 1.6X speed, since the narrators were slower than I would have lked.

Overall book 1 was a 4.5, book 2 was a 4 and book 3 was a 5+ star rating. I am so glad I have these on audiobook to relisten in the future and will need to check out the physical books to add to my shelf. This book in particular was a top 10 read/listen for me in 2023. So gooooood! If you love omegaverse, love the poly aspect, amazing side characters that steal the show (like Gram haha), and a driving and intricate storyline, this series is for you ❤️

Sweet, Spicy & Alluring! Great Series & Narration🎧

Thora Woods did not hold back any punches in this final book of her “Pack Saint Clair” series and delivers a smoking hot, action-packed conclusion. The story of Lydia Anderson and the Saint Clair pack members, Alexandria, Rhett, Mateo, and Lucas, continues in this book from where “Lavender and Lightning” left off. The world building is fantastic and to get the most out of that and the series you need to start with the first book, “Lilac and Leather”, where it all begins. Lydia has gotten to know her mates intimately well, even more so in this book, especially with Alexandria. They are still dealing with the fallout from attending Lydia’s brother’s wedding, trying to get Rhett back before Lydia’s heat kicks in. Alexandria is also trying to tie up loose ends and get rid of the garbage and the thorns in their sides, Lydia’s parents, her evil ex, and Simon. She sets things in motion, but not everything goes as planned. There is never a dull moment in this fabulous fantasy omega-verse, the story is cleverly plotted with a perfect balance of drama, angst, some twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance reverse harem style. Thora Woods, thank you for another amazing story and wild and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Matt Haynes’ and Maeve York’s character voices have been consistent throughout out the series and each delivered a top-notch performance. I loved how they took each role, ran with it and made it own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound, accents and all. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling them all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic audiobook listen.

what a wonderful ending

I have loved the story since the beginning. This book has so many ups and Downs and twists. And turns that I was on a roller coaster. But I couldn't be happier with the ending or how it all turned out. I love this Author. Can't wait to buy more. And the narrators on this book did such an amazing job that I could give them ten stars if I could.
