About this listen

One year ago, I graduated from law school and embarked on a career as a purveyor of high-priced legal shenanigans.

Six months ago, my boyfriend dumped me when I thought he might be proposing.

Two weeks ago, I got drunk and joined a secret sex club.

Two days ago, I had a torrid one-night stand with a stranger.

Today? Well, today I'm contemplating having an affair with my boss.

Matt Connover is all kinds of forbidden temptation wrapped up in a deliciously wicked package, and he's made it clear...he's only interested in sex.

My name is McKayla Dawson, but everyone calls me Mac. I work at the powerhouse firm of Connover & Crown, LLP, where the law has never felt so hot. But between you and me, I'm afraid my heart won't survive these Legal Affairs.

Meet #134

How happy was I that this was the complete volume. I didn't have to battle with diving over a cliffhanger as Sawyer Bennett gave me all the legal briefs I could take. I really enjoyed the progression and the way this story unfolded. It wasn't quick and it wasn't instant love. It was sexy, funny, heartachingly perfect.

Not only do I love the way Sawyer writes, but she picked the perfect narrator. Kirsten Leigh always brings joy to my ears. She is talented enough to carry the male and female characters and still give me chills!

This was a great addition to my audible library.

OMG!

What an awesome book. Story & performance was superb & I was smiling, laughing and even a little crying through the box set.
Also, I was very happy with the overall storyline as well as the ending.
I would love to see a continuation of Matt & Mac's story. Loved it all!

Such a Cute Story!

This was one of the good ones. Has a good story mixed in with a good narrator and some good sex scenes. I loved this book from start to finish. However the preview of the book doesn't it do the book any kind of justice. It actually turned me off to the book when I first heard it so don't let that fool you, this book is pretty good.

A must for fans of Sawyer Bennett

What a great box set, if you enjoy books by Sawyer Bennett this is a must read. Matt and Mac are both strong characters. They were matched to have a one-night stand through a secret sex club that Macy, Mac's BFF and roommate, convince's her to try. Little did either of them know that come Monday morning Matt would be Mac's new boss. To say that their first work meeting is a little uncomfortable would be an understatement but they both quickly get over it and make the most of what they both want. Each of the volumes are quick reads and very, very HOT. I have to say that they seem to break-up every other week but there was a good reason for it....Matt is scared to be hurt again. You see his ex-wife did some number on him and it has left a bitter taste in his mouth when it comes to women, so he only does one-night stands...well that is until he met McKayla. I really liked the fact that this wasn't insta-love, both characters took their time to get to where they needed to be to make their relationship work out.

Powerful story

I love this story about a damaged man who has to learn how to forgive and let go of his bitterness.
Mac and Matt has a sizzling connection.
* Mac is strong and Matt can’t manage to get past his previous experiences with women
* Good storyline with positive moments and some not so good.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
* Plenty dialogues
* Very good characters descriptions with a lot of feelings
* The love scenes is steaming hot and intense

Performance:
I normally prefer male and female voices but this narrator did a great job
Clear pronunciation and read with a lot of feelings

I want a Matt for me

If you could sum up Legal Affairs Boxed Set in three words, what would they be?

Hot, clever and addictive

Who was your favorite character and why?

Matt - you read the books and you'll see. He's everything a woman wants in a man. Yum yum!

Have you listened to any of Kirsten Leigh’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First time I've listened to her, and she did a great job.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The smoking hot sex scenes!!

Any additional comments?

Just a really good read - hard to put down. Great characters, great story, hot sex and lots of good bits in between!

I've read Matt version of the story and now to hear Mac version is enlightening. kinda threw me off that each chapter was only 6-7 minutes long making it 70 chapters but i still lived the book

Legally Stupid

I thought Mac (24 or 25 female lawyer) acted too immature, irresponsible and just plain stupid for a woman who had earned an advanced degree. When Mac joined an exclusive sex club (where people are matched up for a single night of anonymous sex), my theory was confirmed. What rational female would go to a hotel room with a complete stranger?

Matt (senior law partner, early 30s) had the emotional maturity of a 5th grader who treated women like tissues - use once and throw in trash. While not really cruel, Matt was incredibly self absorbed, concerned only with his physical needs and insecurities. Despite his growing feelings for Mac, Matt allowed a bad prior relationship to rule his life - what a coward!

FYI, I didn't even find the sex scenes interesting; they were all about Matt being in control and Mac following orders like a soldier. Since I didn't care what happened to any of the characters, I gave up listening about half way through.
