Publisher's summary

A London Lovers Series Stand-Alone

When Leslie Lincoln, a spunky, red-headed American, suffers an awkward moment with an arousingly-sexy British man - she thinks her life can't get any more pathetic.

She's done with men.

She doesn't need them.

She especially doesn't need their muscular thighs.

No siree, she's going to forget all about the brooding, complicated, and seductive Theo, who captivated her on the dance floor of a London nightclub.

Keep telling yourself that, Lez….

Immersing herself into a new type of romantic cleanse, Leslie thinks she'll never lay eyes on Theo again. But somehow, he's managed to bulldoze his way back in - her cheetah-print onesie pajamas be damned.

He wants more.

She wants to run.

But he can't seem to let her go.

Both of them have a past - and neither want to share.

How can love possibly survive in darkness?

I thought Leslie was hilarious. She is like a train wreck in her own mind when in reality she is just pretty normal. I was glad to see her get her HEA and I liked Theo for her. He was a little to serious but I understand why. If anyone should have baggage it's him with all this family drama. I think I was most excited about the introduction of Hayden since I listened to the Harris Brother's series first and there was a lot of reference to his past but I had no clue how bad off he was until this book. I'm going to love seeing him heal over the next couple books. This book had a lot of sadness but it also had a very happy ending.

Narration was the same as the last 2, not bad.

Loving this new to me author

Loved this story, the banter between all of the characters was absolutely fantastic. How Amy Daws brought them all to life was wonderful. How both Theo and Leslie hid their pasts from one another thinking they couldn’t share their past with one another yet how they supported one another after it all came out. Amy, you had me giggling, crying and shaking my head throughout your story. I’m a sucker for ugly cries from any love story and let me tell ya, I sure did cry.

Piper does an exceptional job at the characters in this series as well. I’m happy to have spent my time with this book and I’m going to the next book right away ❣️

An entertaining listen!

What made the experience of listening to London Bound the most enjoyable?

Piper Goodeve's narration because she's quite simply one of my favorite narrators.

Would you be willing to try another book from Amy Daws? Why or why not?

Maybe. It depends on the plot. I'd definitely read another one if it's narrated by Piper Goodeve.

What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think it would have been a slower read for me simply because I prefer the main characters to spend a lot of time together earlier in the story. Leslie and Theo have a crazy hot first meeting and then she resisted him for longer than I'd have preferred. Also, Frank's 7-day cleanse seemed to drag on for a bit to me. Fortunately, Piper Goodeve's talent for animating characters helped hold my attention and kept me invested in finding out when Leslie would finally go all in with Theo and see where their connection took them.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I suck at this, but maybe something like, "Let this sexy Brit win you over!"

Any additional comments?

I loved this quote which summed up what Leslie needed to learn in order to give her heart to Theo 100%. ‘This man is worth needing. He’s worth trusting and we’re going to pull each other out of the darkness. Together. As a family.’ ~Leslie

Loved It!

This is the third book in the series and by far my favorite. You never know what going to come out of Leslie or Frank's mouth. There were so many laugh out loud moments in this book. Then there is Theo. The chemistry between Theo and Leslie is off the charts.
Piper Goodeve does a really job of narrating.

Sexy, Funny, Emotional Story ~ Love it!

Leslie is a Funny, Snarky, red head who's not traditional in any sense! I adored her friendship with Frank, and loved how they bantered, and interacted with each other. I think on some level, we all crave friendships with people who know us so intimately, they know just how to help us, when we are down and out. Leslie takes Frank's offer and tries his Seven Day Cleanse to get out of her "funk." Each day of this cleanse, brings on a whole new hilarious challenge. While undertaking each challenge, the sexy Theo and his Clark Kent classes, takes these opportunities to get closer to Leslie and break down her walls.

While Leslie and Theo have their own secretes, Theo's seemed to have affected him the most. Deep emotions are attached to these secretes, and you can't help but to feel these emotion, as each character goes on their own emotional roller coaster.

Some got it, some don't……Piper Goodeve's GOT IT! She delivered an extraordinarily delightful performance, giving this story that "extra special something" taking the story from just great to fabulous. It was such a treat listening to Piper narrating this story, she really brought the characters to life.

A sweet, sexy story, full of laughs and lot's of different emotion. All the characters were excellent, well developed and likeable. It's a five solid stars story, and I'm hooked! I will definitely have to listen to the other stories in the series.

Sweet and Sad

Sweet and sad at the same time.

Leslie met Theo when Finley had run away from Brody and started seeing Liam. Liam and Theo are friends. But Leslie ran from Theo, though she couldn't understand why she kept thinking about him. It wasn't just the embarrassing incident on the dance floor. Just when she thought she would never see him again, he would pop up in her life.

Now that she's back from Finley and Brody's destination wedding in Mexico, she's on a 7 day relationship cleanse that, her flatmate Frank, has made up for her. But when Theo keeps showing up, she's more and more thrown for a loop. Leslie can't seem to balance her growing feelings for Theo with her desire to keep her walls up based on her past.

Theo can't stop thinking about the woman who's made him feel again after years in a fog. It's like the black and white of every day are suddenly in color again. Leslie keeps pushing him away. At first he thinks he will get over it in time, but when he finds out about the cleanse and what it entails, there's no way he can let Leslie be with any other man in any way. He's determined to make her his. If only he can keep the past at bay

These two both have very difficult issues to get through and once they come out, hopefully they are able to heal each other. Especially with the surprises that come their way

Made me cry at the end. I really like Amy's stories.

You will laugh and you will cry

Wow, this book brought out a lot of emotions. I laughed and I cried but this book tackled alot of hot topics. Fear, guilt, domestic abuse, suicide prevention, loss and remembering and honoring those we've lost. This story was chock full of all of these, but it was told so well.

Piper Goodeve did a fabulous job with this story and the characters. She and Ms Daws wrenched tears out of me at the end of the book. Such a touching scene. Very well written and perfectly performed.

Slow start but really took off after that!

What did you like best about this story?

The story took some time to get rolling and I almost didn't give it a chance, but I kept on and when Theo entered full time it was awesome. Just wish it did not take that long to get going. Great story from midway on!

What aspect of Piper Goodeve’s performance would you have changed?

Put in a MALE reader for male parts
