About this listen

Eleanor Briggs just can't help herself. The sight of the man in the high-rise across the street is driving her wild. She longs to feel his touch up close and personal. To win him over, she'll need to shake off her wallflower sensibilities and become the seductress she never imagined she could be. The only trouble will be finding the perfect way to meet him.

Sex is easy for millionaire entrepreneur Trey Riordan. Finding something of substance, however, seems impossible. That is, until a simple night of reading at a local coffee shop becomes something far steamier when a beautiful brunette comes by and leaves a note telling him to look out his bedroom window at 11 o'clock. But when the time comes, neither of them will be truly ready for what follows.

Sweet and Sassy

First off, I have to admit that the cover art definitely drew my interest in this book. Whew...that man is barefoot and smoking hot. The story ended up being a little different than the impression I got from the summary. It was more romantic. The Heroine was almost annoyingly insecure and I found myself thinking, “enough already, you’re a grown ass women in her sexual prime, just own it , already”. In my opinion, the author stretched out her lack of self esteem, a bit too far. Other then being a typical male without a clue as to how to read the Heroine’s mind, he was pretty perfect. If he could have read Eleanor’s mind, this college educated woman with a double major wouldn’t have had to attempt to articulate herself. Although, a Hero and a Heroine who are unable to communicate with each other successfully may be pretty realistic, listening to the Heroine unable to articulate a single thought, got old. Thank Gosh, since this is a romance, the Hero was more patient with the Heroine then I was, otherwise there wouldn’t have been a HEA. So, even though there are parts of the book that are Korney and some parts are annoying, overall it is an entertaining listen.

Wow! Talk about coming out of your shell!

This is a book I didn't want to stop listening to! Take a shy women that just suffered a loss and let her come out of her shell by attempting to seduce the neighbor!

Elenore thought she was a typical librarian type. One day she looked across the street into the bedroom of a man she thought she could only dream about. A year later and getting over a death in the family she decided she was going to step out and pretend to be who she thought he wanted. Her attempts at seducing turned into some hot and intense sex scenes that were so well written. Do these two have a relationship? Or is it just sexually chemistry? Will her lies end it all or something else?

I love Maxine Mitchell as a narrator. I bought this book optimistically and was never disappointed. I didn't want it to end. Being 11 hours long I never got tired of listening and found myself creating ways to check out of reality and dive into this listen. Well worth the credit.

I say Gawd DAYAM 🔥🤪🥵🙈🥺🥵💥🥰

Beth Kery is a brand new author to me and definitely one I cannot wait to hear more from! I absolutely LOVED this story! I was wrapped up in this from the start. There wasn't alot of angst, but LOADS of passion! Maxine Mitchell is one of my favorite narrators. I love her male and female voices. Beyond that fact she brought these two characters to life for me! This was an AE borrow but I plan to own this one and can't wait to listen to another of Beths books soon! Steam Rating 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Super Sexy!

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The way both characters came into themselves with the help of the other.

My new favorite

Loved everything about this novel. Unique plot. In-depth characters. Believable audio. I wish this author would re record her earlier works because I'd love to listen to them as well, but can't tolerate the audio.

Dancing for Him

This was a beautifully written book. Though some of the beauty was in the narration. Maxine Mitchell read the words as if she was they were her words, this was her story and her life depended on them. The erotic scenes were as vital to Trey and Eleanor's story as the characters histories were. The sex scenes were as beautiful and vulnerable as Eleanor herself. Trey was gruff and hard yet she opened him up and softened his edges and he allowed her to open sexually to him. These two seemed so suited to each other once you got past their outward appearances, she the librarian and he the Dom. This could have been a trite and cliched story, it was anything but. There were lessons in love, self acceptance and getting down to the realities of life. While I rush to hear this story I did not want it to end.

Seriously!

Why are these women so stupid in these stories? Sometimes allow them to listen and think for themselves!

Story was great - Narration was not!

Beth Kery always has interesting and exciting story lines and this book was no exception. I purchase a lot of audio books and I have come to think of the person [s] narrating the book as performers. Each book is a play that I listen to and the performers paint the story in my mind. This narrator sounded like she was reading a text book that wasn't very interesting. Monotoned, no inflections in her voice to keep your attention.

Excellent

I found this book to be very well performed. I did get frustrated with Eleanor’s lack of confidence. l waned t
