Publisher's summary

Before she met Dragos, half-human half-Wyr Pia Giovanni was alone and on the run. Now, she's mated, pregnant, and heading south to repair the Wyr's frayed relationship with the Elves. Being separated from Dragos is painful, but for the good of the Wyr demesne they need to figure out how to be partners, in more places than just the bedroom.

In New York to preside over the Sentinel Games, Dragos is worried about his mate, but knows that finding two replacement sentinels is essential to show the rest of the Elder Races just how strong and brutal the Wyr demesne can be. But as the games heat up, Pia's negotiations with the Elves take a turn for the dangerous, straining her bond with Dragos and threatening everything they hold dear.

I am really loving the Elder Races!

These books are quickly becoming one of the best series I have listened to over the years. They are well written and contain just the right amount of action to keep you interested until the end. I'm sure you can read these out of order, but I don't advocate doing that. To fully understand and appreciate the power of the elders, you should start at the beginning and continue through. The narrator is pretty good and doesn't disappoint. Thea Harrison has a wonderful imagination! Go dragon, elves, genie's, and all of her mystical magical creatures!

Awesome

If you could sum up Lord's Fall in three words, what would they be?

sadness, love, action

What did you like best about this story?

how much Pia is changing as well as the dragon. How all the characters that have their mates did not disappear but are still around.

What does Sophie Eastlake bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

the voices she using as lose to the ones I would used in my own head if I had read and the emotional expressiveness of what she is reading

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

One of my favorite series

I find myself going back and relistening to this series when I'm in between new reads. There is a good amount of comedy along with the drama and action. Yes, there is some sex, but it isn't the main focus like an erotic novel with a bit of action between sex scenes. It's more like a Percy Jackson or Harry Potter type fantasy world series for grownups who aren't offended by some heat between the sheets and adult language.

I hope there are more installments ahead. I also hope that the novellas will get recorded since they are a nice tie-in. They're inexpensive as kindle purchases on Amazon which I felt compelled to get as a little appetizer while awaiting this book to be written. I listen to audiobooks because I do not generally have the time to read, but I made an exception because I just love the Elder Races world.

Start at the beginning with Dragon Bound. The whole series is so worth the credits!!

Fantastic!

I couldn't put this story down. I felt as if I was right there experiencing everything Pia was going through. The narration was done beautifully.

Fabulous Story!

Thea Harrison is one of my favorite writers and Dragos and Pia are one of my favorite couples. I read this story when it first came out in book form. I purchased the audio version because I am going through my fifth or sixth re read of the series. I generally do not like female narrators but this one is perfect for all the voices. This book goes into more detail of Dragos and Pia's evolving relationship. I love how the author writes; it is so smart, interesting and humorous. You should start at the beginning of the series and read them all; each book is totally worth a credit. Thea Harrison's books are Keepers!

Even better on audio!

I just love this series. I enjoyed the audiobook for Lord's Fall, even more than the paperback. I think that is due to Sophie Eastlake's narration. The personalities of the characters comes through so much better. I particularly loved Eva, the snarky, hard-ass bodyguard who gives Pia such a hard time in the beginning but comes around to being a loyal and devoted protector.

When I read this book last year I wasn't paying enough attention so this time I really got the connection between the 'God Machine', and the Oracle's prophecy from book 4.

Well done.

Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Dragon. Not Pia

If you could sum up Lord's Fall in three words, what would they be?

Funny
Powerful
Suspenseful

What was one of the most memorable moments of Lord's Fall?

When Dragos came to save Pia

What about Sophie Eastlake’s performance did you like?

She has a way of making each character come to life. She embodies each one with the characteristics that the author wants them to have. She should read every book Ms. Harrison writes.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not an extreme reaction. i liked the story and how Dragos continues to grow under the loving tutelage of Pia
