About this listen

Of old, humans and Faeries have dwelt side by side in parallel realms. Only the canniest mortals recognize the alluring creatures that often walk - and lie - among them.

The righteous Fae of the Seelie Court cherish an ancient quarrel with their Dark counterparts: a curse born of anger and deceit. The Unseelie Court will perish unless one of its princes can win a woman's love - honestly, without coercion. And love her wholly in return.

To halt the slow demise of his people, Prince Thane - the embodiment of Lust - infiltrates the Georgian court to seduce his mortal inverse. Noblewoman Chastity Lennox is purity incarnate - a sensual prize well worth winning. But Thane's carnal quest proves more challenging than he ever dreamed.

No other has ever been able - or willing - to resist his erotic charms. Chastity's resolve is maddening.and intriguing. It makes him want her all the more. But how best to seduce one who truly seems above temptation? Discover her greatest weakness and become the intoxicating essence of her deepest, most forbidden desires....

A girl is pursued by a sexy Faery possessed by the sin of LUST.

The End.

No really. It's that simple. There's lots of steamy pursuing and having of the ways with the girl but really, other than that, there's not much to say. Had fun with this fluff, but it's pure romantic fluff.

Now if the rest of the series were out it could become an intriguing set of books...

Simple and Sexy: Romp with Fae

This book is not for the faint of heart among you. There is a LOT of sex -- having it, dreaming it, or reliving it.

That being said, I love Charlotte Featherstone's writing. She weaves such rich detail into her work and in spite of some repetitive plot action (i.e., sex), she manages to not become trite with the words she uses. I have read other books where overused words make the book difficult to finish (you know the words I mean), but Ms. Featherstone's vocabulary is extensive without being laughable.

The plot is interesting enough to carry a nine hour book. The Unseelie Fey must bring the personification of the the seven Virtues to their court willingly to break a curse set by an angry Seelie queen. Chastity Lennox and her sisters are Virtues being seduced by the Unseelie to save their court and by the Seelie out of revenge. It is a nice twist on the "good versus evil" theme. It is easy to root for the bad guys.

Helen Stern is an excellent narrator for this book. She manages the many accents well and keeps the characters straight. I look forward to the continuation of the series and I hope that Helen Stern narrates them all.

So, Miss Lennox, Do You Have Any Other Hobbies?

This was my first time reading a romance novel, and I must say at first I laughed a lot over some of the verbiage used in the book. I eventually got over it and was able to enjoy the story. It is a bit raunchy, but fun to listen to!

Ok so...

I am so very impressed with the narrator - Helen Stern. I could listen to her all day long.
This book was Harlequin and then it wasn't. Yes, hot&steamy all the way but well written and such an extensive vocabulary one doesn't see even in literary books. I am not knocking the author down but truly didn't expect such a well written romance novel.
I enjoyed the plot and could listen to Thane...well, forever. :) Absolutely fantastic narration.

WOW and WOW

I really liked this book, it kept me guessing and there are a lot of twists that just sneak up on you. I am surprised this didn't fall into the erotic section as well as romance, I am not complaining but if you don't like sex scenes in your book this is not for you. There are quit a few sex scenes but they don't detract from the overall book, they are the dark Fae after all, the sex just pulls you further into the story.

I can't wait until April for the next one!!

Incredibly sexy. The plot isn't particularly unique per se but it was a fun light read that I enjoyed a lot. And I thought the characters were a bit deeper than romance books tend to have.

So sexy and fun

I enjoyed this book for the most part but it had a lot of repetitive issues. The constant obsession with being a virtue but being conflicted made up about 90% of the dialogue and got a tedious after a while. The back and forth between brothers made up the other 10% and sucked all the life out of the plot. Nothing about this book was light. I still enjoyed it enough to consider purchasing it after borrowing it on the Audible Escape package....until I got to the end. The whole point of the book was Chastity was needed by the dark fae to save them. Then at the end (even though she was willing) the prince took her back to his kingdom before she officially asked to be taken (i think) the conditions to void the curse were not met. Once there she submitted to him completely and professed her loving willingness to stay there forever with him of her own free will. This supposedly was all that was needed to save the dark fae kingdom but it never confirms if the curse was broken or not. Which, after listening to over 9 hours of this book, is very frustrating. It leaves you with no sense of closure, no hypothetical "The End". So for that reason I chose not to purchase the book.

Started out good but ending was confusing

What disappointed you about Lust?

The story is about sisters that are virtuous and the men who are the exact opposite of that virtue. I thought that sounded like an interesting concept but, it was written like a horny high schooler and that should say a lot.

What was most disappointing about Charlotte Featherstone’s story?

It was written in such an over exaggerated way that it became silly and I was embarrassed for the writer. I enjoy erotica with any good romance but, there needs to be a stroryline. Not just I am going to defile her for the fun of it and going over and over in his mind what he would do to her meanwhile, the heroine is ridiculous along with all her sisters.

How could the performance have been better?

For awhile i wondered if the author was going for a pride and prejudice type of action with 5 very different sisters. Unfortunately, that was as not the case.

What character would you cut from Lust?

All of them.

Any additional comments?

Honestly, this book was so bad I didn't even finish listening to it. Three quarters through and I just couldn't take it anymore.

Awful....no storyline
