Publisher's summary

Roundman, president of the Hellions Motorcycle Club, has kept the chaos surrounding the Hellions contained for the last 30 years. When the dangerous side to their business comes knocking on his only child's doorstep, he realizes that his precious daughter - Delilah ("Doll") - isn't safe anymore.

With Doll in danger from the association she has with him and his club, Roundman makes the only decision he feels he can - to send her away. Calling on the one charter club president he trusts, he sets up a ride to keep her safe, all in hopes that trouble won't follow.

Talon "Tripp" Crews has been ordered to take Doll on one ride away from the danger while the club handles the threat. She's off-limits. His head knows this, but his body can't deny the attraction. She's feisty, fierce, and fearless. Constantly in close confines together, will they give in to the desire? Can one ride turn lust into love?

Contains mature themes.

Meh........

Made myself finish. Very anticlimactic.

I'm starting to struggle with this narrating duo. While both have very pleasant voices Maxine Mitchell seems to read every single sentence as though it needs to be contemplated. If the sky is blue, it's just blue. It doesn't need to be pondered.
Joe Arden ends most his sentences with a lilt to sound as if everything is a question.
After hours of hearing all of this it became quite distracting.

Hot MC Story!

This was a great MC story. I loved the bikers from Hellions Motorcycle club and there no nonsense attitudes. Tripp and Doll are good together. Looking forward to hearing Sass and Tank's story.

Tripp and Doll

Reading this book is one thing but listening to it is so much more. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are absolute perfection. They brought these characters to life. This was a fantastic ride to go on with Doll and Tripp.

A GREAT START TO ANOTHER NEW MC SERIES

At Haywoods Hellions MC a huge BBQ is in full swing for its various smaller affiliated Charters and Chapters organized by its Parent Chapter's Head and Founder - Roundman.... who is also a loving and overprotective Dad to his only daughter Dalliah (aka Doll). At 25 Doll, and her best friend Sassy, have been part of the Biker lifestyle all their lives (except their College years) and Doll is sassy, independent, confident and loves the MC lifestyle. There must be over 200 at the annual BBQ that's got a fun Carnival type buzz going on but when Doll's eyes land on one particular handsome hot Biker she's suddenly intrigued and sexually interested but when they're introduced its obvious that the attraction only goes one way.

However, that's not the case.... Tripp is the President of the Piedmont Chapter of the Hellions - he's at the BBQ with his cousin/best friend/man-whore Rex - and when he's introduced to the hot beauty Tripp recognizes that she's Roundman's 'off limits' precious daughter. And, even though Tripp (and little pierced Tripp!) are very interested in Doll, he makes no moves on her... because he knows that they'd be a bullet with his name on it. However, Fate, Destiny and Karma got together and, when danger threatens Roundman's Princess, he asks Tripp and Rex to take her and Sassy on a road trip that'll hopefully take them out of harms way.... but it'll also bring him dangerously close to that bullet too.

The chemistry between them is off the charts but Tripp daren't go there however, the longer they ride together, with Doll's body pressed up tight against his back, the more his resolve waivers.... and then it finally snaps. But he's not looking for an Old Lady or to be tied down and Doll deserves better than him so he makes some self-destructive moves that'll hopefully push Doll away. Doll's confused... it's one step forward followed by two steps back with Tripp - hot sex followed by the cold shoulder treatment and, even if she yearns for more, she's not going to beg. After a month of ducking and diving villains the danger is finally eliminated so it's time to go back home - but neither one of them truly want to separate until some devastating news make their parting quick and bitter-sweet. However, time apart gave them both clarity.... but did the other feel the same or had they moved on?

A really good MC love story.... no romance just a possessive Alpha Biker fighting attraction, commitment and love.... and he was going down fighting it all the way which made for a very entertaining story. This was very much a 'relationship' driven plot with sex, angst but not much MC drama. There's a strong sense of kinship, brotherhood and friendship with all the secondary characters and some of them will, no doubt, hopefully get their own books... next it's Sassy and Tank's story. Dual POV and good narration.

Worth a credit? If you like your Hero to be a handsome well endowed, tattooed, leather clad badass Biker who talks dirty at the strong and feisty Heroine who he can ride... but can't ride over - then YES go for it - and, IMO, you won't regret it.

Hmmm, this is a tricky one.

The story had potential but I struggled to finish it for a few reasons. the story felt incomplete. the heroine was slightly unlikable, a brat with ,I'm sure, what the writer felt was "sass", turned into childishness. The relationship building between the hero and heroine was nonexistent. They meet, can't stop thinking about each other even though they never even had a conversation. Interaction between them is scarce and dosent make a lot of sense. the narrator has great diction, maybe too good, the narration did nothing to bring the story to life, It felt stilted. The writing may have had something to do with it. The writer uses ten words when 5 would have done nicely.

Narration is the best

I wish there was more action. The narration always makes a bad story better. The main characters were likable. It is missing something tho. Just don’t know what!

Tripp and Doll

This was one hell of a love story. One thing I have noticed with every MC series is it’s pretty much the same story line and yet I still feel the happy, the sad and, the sexual aspects of each story. This is one of my favorites. Now on to the next book.

Not great but not awful. Only listened because it was part of the audible plus library.

SUPERB NARRATION

When it comes to audiobooks, I always find it just as important to have competent, talented and entertaining narrators, as having a well-written, engaging story. The two narrators for this book (Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell) were so well-matched to the characters they portrayed, that it felt as if I was listening to a good movie without the video. They read the story with attitude, emotion, timber and sensuality. The sound of their voices were in line with the ages of the characters as well, a big turn-off being having a 30-something year old hero being read by a man who sounds like a grandpa, etc. One of the best narrated books I’ve listened to on Audible!
The relationship journey between Doll and Tripp was also very satisfying.
