A filthy proposition. Too much money to say no. One dirty night in a stranger's bed.

While my husband watches.

It should've been a dream. A new life on the coast, running a beautiful country hotel with my husband. It should have been everything I'd ever wanted. Worth every scrap of investment. A hotel business we'd sunken every single penny we owned into, only to find out there was a big chain rival opening just a stone's throw away.

Slowly, day by day, the dream became a nightmare. Bills. So many bills. Sleepless nights, tossing and turning. No way out in sight.

Until there was him. The man at the bar. The man with a proposition we should never have considered in a thousand years . . .

Me. Him. One long night where I'm subject to his every fantasy. While my husband watches.

Contains mature themes.

I really wanted to get through this book. The plot was intriguing to me (although it did seem to drag a bit) but I couldn’t listen to the narrators anymore. The voices did not fit the characters in my opinion. It seemed like the writing tried to portray Thomas as sort of mysterious and hunky but the narrator made him sound totally opposite of that. Like in no way would Grace be attractive. And the female narrator sounded much to old, it was like listening to the a grandmother talk about smut. It felt very awkward. Unfortunately I had to dnf because of the narrators.

Good storyline but couldn’t handle the narrators

This book is spicy! I like Jade West, her books follow through on the plot of the story but contain all the smut if it’s what you are looking for. It kind of dragged out, At one point I was thinking how I can I still have 2.5 hours left at a 1.35 speed but it worked in and out nicely. Easy listen but woo spicy mama

Smutty smut smut

So, let me start off by saying that at that beginning of this, I was pretty quickly invested. I wanted to see how this was going to play out. The sexy scenes were pretty good, but the story just kind of felt rushed towards the end. I get there are more novels to this, but the ending just kind of left me feeling "meh". It was like the author was writing a continuous story and just decided "Ok, lets stop this book here". IDK, I definitely didn't hate it, but I wasn't in love. Also, the male narrator didn't fit the characters in my mind.

I Really Wanted To Like This

the great detail brought about each person.

The story was so very interesting. It had twist and turns that I didn’t expect. I really liked the way it kept your interest
The narrator’s thought, especially for Grace. I felt like she was trying to win an award or something. She had to be very dramatic in every situation she read. It got to the point that I really didn’t care to hear her character.

I don’t know how to feel. I was really hoping like all other jade books, I listened to that. This was going to turn into a ménage. Am I upset that I didn’t. Yes, but do I also wanna listen to Thomas story with Polly. Yes, but I can still be angry.

I don’t know

I’m not sure if I like this book or not. The revenge was an interesting plot. Not sure if I like how it ended. The internal monologues and questionable decisions seemed very realistic, which was a good twist. Narrators did a great job. The spice was good too.

I don’t know about this one

While I enjoyed the steaminess of the book, like other reviewers, I could not get over the voices of the narrators. I’m not sure how to describe it, but please listen to the preview before buying to make sure you can stand 8 hours of them.

Story Great, Narrators Not So Much

I DID like this book. I know my headline might elude to the opposite but I did enjoy this read. I just wish there were not that many little issues that compromised the rating because it was a great book. The male narrator was great and it he did an amazing job. So did the female she read wonderfully but her voice was not at all the right voice for this, it was too old for Grace at just 30. This book had great potential and started out pretty strong but it didn't wrap up smoothly. Still, a great read, especially if it's on sale or free.

SPOILER ALERT- I guessed pretty early on that they were brothers and I wish they were connected in any other way! I think the brother's angle takes away from the story. I try to not write spoilers in my reviews, but this is the one thing, out of the many issues I had, that I wish the author had done differently. I do wish the ending didn't seem rushed or unthought out but that happens a lot and is something I can let go of but the brother plot twist takes away from the overall concept. Also, What the hell is the point of Polly? Polly never gets resolved, there is never any hint as to why she is who/what she is. She is just a connector that in the end (plot twist) doesn't even need to be there.

One Too Many...things wrong with it.
