About this listen

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They're both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends - I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd - but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I'd make my coworker fall for me.

I'd like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie's trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won't leave her alone. But I've never been good at giving up, and I don't plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

Contains mature themes.

Sadie and Andrew

The MQ universe is sooo good! I laughed and cried throughout this book. It’s lighthearted as well as deep and sad. Loved it so much! My heart went out to Sadie. She had a rough go of things but so grateful for Andrew and how he brought her back to life essentially. Helped her to anyways!

Sweet like Ice Cream

This was such a cute, goofy, and hilarious book. Its got all the classic Meghan Quinn humor mixed with some serious moments.

I felt so many emotions while listening to this. I laughed, I cried, and I even wanted to smack a few heads in rage!

I enjoyed this. I look forward to listening to the next one in the series!

not much.

The voices were terrible. They sounded too mature for the characters they were supposed to be.

Story was good, narration ruind it for me

I was having hard time to get into this story because of the narration. The female voice wasn't the best and made Andrew sound like a 14 years old boy, and she was a bit anemic. The guy was better but he failed the female voices to.
Tge story was good, funny and had a great character developnet.

A second chance at life

Liked the story. Did not love the narrators. A true growing up and seeing how the relationship s you have when you are younger are important and shape who you are. Lisa is not great, but understanding it, moving forward is hard but the life lessons and growth key to truly moving on.

Good story.

Narration awful

The writing was good. The narrators awful. Once it became clear that Andrew is similar to Ryan Reynolds, all the writing made sense. The lines matched exactly what I’d expect from a Ryan Reynolds performance. The narrators came no where near the delivery. Instead of coy and funny, they made him sound like an idiot.

I am also from Binghamton and went to the university. So that’s the main reason I listened - never saw Binghamton in a story before! Quinn was decently accurate too. Sure, some things were off (Binghamton is known for spiedies (true), carousel capital of the world (true), Nirchi’s pizza (hell no!) - how about the home of Rod Sterling or IBM!) Also, no one says I go to Binghamton University here in Binghamton. We just say The University or BU. And we often shorten Binghamton to Bingo. And Bingo is not in the tri-state area, that’s downstate where the state meets two other states (PA and NJ). There are some other small things like that — for the most part though - pretty accurate.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Bingo Pride. And that is the only reason I finished the book. The narration was just so terrible.
