The male narrator, Tristan, is the worst narrator I’ve ever heard. He sounded winded and robotic and didn’t change his voice for different male characters. Just read and was awful. Melissa, the female narrator was amazing and because of her I kept listening. The story line was so good that even though he was terrible it was worth the listen.

Keep in mind, I tend to listen to audiobooks at 1.4 or 1.5 speed, so I know narrators sound different than at normal speed, but... Tristian James sounds like a monotone old timey radio news/sports broadcaster half the time and it’s low key distracting based on the subject he’s narrating at the time.... it almost feels like it’s so exaggerated it’s supposed to be a joke, but it’s not. 🤔😅

Fingers crossed I am able to get that association out of my head as to enjoy the content in e near future.

Truth be told, I’m only 20% into the book, but...

I was a bit skeptical at first because the other books that I’ve listened to similar to this have been a bit of a let down. But this one blew me away and I really enjoyed it!! I’m looking forward to listening to the next book!! Highly Recommend!!!!
