About this listen

Revenge is a seven-letter word that isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s a word for those who have been wronged.

Jo Turner has been waiting five, long years to finally turn revenge into vengeance. Using Rider, the pretty-faced manwhore, is simply the price she is willing to pay to satiate her desire for revenge. Little does she know, she makes herself a target from the one thing Rider has sworn to give his life to protect - The Last Riders.

When you wake the soldier, be prepared for the consequences. Rider is going to teach her a hard lesson: Revenge is a double-edged sword...and it always cuts both ways.

Chapter 43 is A mess!!!!! But the story is Good and book version is correct

So, I love this story. I would like to point out that the audiobook company did a crappy job editing their audiobook in chapter 43 the male audio actor introduces chapter 44 which is actually the female audio actor chapter but beyond that the male actor actually reads all of chapter 45. The audiobook company should fix that and give all current owners a new copy or at the very least an update with corrections.

Long but Interesting Addition to Series

I was leery about listening to this story after I read some reviews that weren't the greatest. I decided I wanted to continue the series anyway. It's long- coming in at 14 hours! Most of the other Last Rider's stories are long as well. I tend to forward a lot of the sexual scenes. After you listen to the first or second, they are really all the same. Except when there's multiples involved in the sex - that just gets confusing trying to picture how the characters are positioned for the sex! Overall, I didn't think this was a bad continuation. I would've liked to have seen Rider's character developed a bit more and Jo's a bit less. We get to know a bit about why Rider is the way he is but that's not until the last part of the story. I think that there were too many drawn out parts that definitely could've been edited more. I think what's included is important to the overall story, just could've been shortened. Some reviews couldn't see Jo and Rider connecting. I'm neutral on that decision. The issue I have Is how tough and resistant Jo is to Rider in the first part of the story but then as soon as he starts the physical stuff, all of that goes away- like Boom. Just seems like it would've been more realistic to have it a gradual kind of thing. One minute, she says she's just a friend and asexual, the next she's all over him and definitely not asexual. The epilogues- there are 3- are always tear jerkers!!! Very nicely written. I think this is worth listening to, especially if you have listened to the other Last Rider's stories. I am wondering if Gavin will get his happy ending story- he deserves one!

Rider

I didn't think that any book could get better than Shade's book. But of course you did it once again and made me cry like a baby with the epilogue.

Narrator

Loved the story. Hated the mail narrator. He was horrible! Love Elizabeth Hart. She is awesome!

Happy Face

OMG! This one hits you in the feels. Especially, towards the end. I laughed and I felt like my heart was being squeezed in happy sadness.

A little lacking!

I will say one thing for sure, Rider’s past was not predictable. I would have never guessed any of his background. If there were hints in the other books, I missed them. I can’t put my finger on the exact reason but, I didn’t buy Rider’s interest in Jo. I didn’t believe he fell in love with her, either; it just didn’t ring very true. I’m wondering if Gavin is going to get his story and if I will be able to handle it, if he does. Only time will tell.

Best in series!

I’ve love the Rider character throughout the series. I knew he had issues, but surprised when his history was revealed. Lots of tears at the end.

Love it

I gave performance a 3 because the towards the end audio is out of order it voices a section out of order before others and then goes back to where it should be and finishes
