Publisher's summary

After months of caring for her terminally ill mother, Rebecca Rivera is left all alone in a world she doesn't trust - but she's determined not to let her mother's death define her. Losing her job, having to pummel some jerk for being too handsy, and living in her car are just temporary setbacks to an otherwise solid plan in finding her footing. Full of pride and used to being in control of her life, she's certain she can make it on her own. The last thing Rebecca needs is a man to fix her troubles - even if that man is strikingly handsome, wealthy, and charismatic Pierce Braden.

Pierce is a powerful real estate investor on the verge of a major acquisition. As the eldest of six siblings raised by a single mother, he's spent his life protecting those he loves. He's used to being in charge and making things right, and although he'd give his life for his family, he treats the women he dates as expendable - until he meets sexy and stubborn Rebecca Rivera, a woman who is as strong as she is vulnerable.

Passion ignites between them, and the two share their most intimate thoughts and desires. It doesn't take long for Pierce to realize that Rebecca is as determined not to be saved as he is to find a way into her heart. As their love grows, Rebecca must face fears she didn't even realize she had - and Pierce must learn the hard truth that sometimes less really is more. Is the power of true love enough for Rebecca and Pierce to learn to give up control and allow their hearts to take over?

Hot

I loved Pierce and Rebecca's story. Rebecca is such a strong woman after having to take of her mom. Then you have Pierce who is a protector. So they had to learn to give up a little of that control. It is easy to see why they fell in love so quickly.
BJ Harrison did an amazing job with the narration. Melissa's books are just so amazing.

Melissa has done it again.

What a good book. I loved the change of setting from Colorado to Reno. Just helped expand the series and the dynamics. I love Rebecca’s hard shell and fierce personality. And who wouldn’t fall for the handsome Knight in shining armor. I love the pace these two took and their love seems so genuine.
I loved listening to this on audiobook. It brings out flair that you don’t get by just reading. BJ does a great job.

Low angst, sweet and steamy

Audiobook: Narrator - B.J. Harrison

An excellent narration by Mr. Harrison. He did an exceptional job of both the male and female characters. A small part had an accent and I thought he did a great job of that although I have struggled with one of his accents in a previous book. Guess it’s all in what type of accent.

This was such a sweet, although plenty steamy, story of a couple that captured my heart right from the start. Rebecca was so determined and I have to admit, there was a time or two I had to grit my teeth at her. Pierce didn’t quite know what to do with a woman like her. But it didn’t take him long to figure out he didn’t want to let her go.

I felt deeply connected to these characters and loved seeing them with the secondary characters as they each waded through not only their relationship but what life was throwing at them. The drama is low with it revolving around what they were dealing with between themselves. This story absolutely sizzles as this couple moves from casual to more and I loved the love between them.

Another Hit for Melissa Foster

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. Melissa Foster gave us another special story in her Braden Series. Rebecca has her secrets, as lots of relationships do. Poor Rebecca and Rich Pierce. However, love knows on boundaries. Great book, couldn't put it down. The narrator did an excellent job with the characters, their personalities and the overall story.

Heartfelt !

Some books just swallow you up, heart and soul and this one is no exception. B. J Harrison is a fantastic narrator.
Pierce Brayden owned several casino's and businesses. Rebecca had quit her job and was looking for another . She went to Pierce's business to apply for a job, but she didn't know he owned it. He took her for a drink and got to know her better. He was really attracted to her. Before Rebecca's mother died she told her that when she got to heaven she was going to pull all the right strings so she could have an amazing life. Rebecca took a job at his casino as a waitress. They both liked to be in control of their lives. Would they adjust? A must listen and read!

Love these characters!

This was really good! I have been slowly working my way through Melissa Foster’s backlist and was excited to pick this one up. This book is a part of several different series but it works well as a stand-alone since the focus is on Rebecca and Pierce’s romance. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop.

I really liked Rebecca and Pierce. Rebecca is going through a tough time when she meets Pierce but she hasn’t given up. Pierce is a wealthy business owner who is drawn to Rebecca as soon as he sees her. He has no idea that she is currently living in her car after losing everything after her mother’s death. Rebecca is proud and wants to take care of things on her own so Pierce has to work hard to step back at times. I thought that they had fantastic chemistry together and their personalities seemed to match up well. I didn’t see the big obstacle that they had to overcome as any big deal but that didn’t take anything away from my enjoyment of the story.

B.J. Harrison does a fantastic job with the narration of this book. I like the voices that he uses for both the male and female characters and I love that he is able to add just the right amount of emotion into his reading. I think that he has a very pleasant voice and believe that his narration added to my overall enjoyment of the story.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I thought that this was a very well-done romance with characters that were easy to love. I cannot wait to read more of this talented author’s work.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author/publicist.

Another great romance!

Melissa Foster writes sweet, touching romances with a fair amount of heat thrown in. This one is no exception.
Pierce was a very likable guy and Rebecca was an incredible character who could kick men's butts if she had to and was full of pride, but also had an incredibly soft side. Their relationship was pretty smooth sailing with very few rough spots. Pierce's best quality was his understanding of Rebecca and what she needed. I'd love to have that guy!
The only thing I didn't like about the story was that it was another story of a super, super rich guy who falls for a poor, down-on-her-luck woman who couldn't care less about his money. Really? If I was living in my car, I don't think the money would be insignificant to me. That's just me.
The performance of the book by B.J. Harrison was exceptional as always.
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book.

Love comes in its own time

Where does Romancing My Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top three

What did you like best about this story?

Two people who each like to be in control learn the art of give and take in love. Rebecca and Pierce completed each other in ways they never expected. I loved that.

Which scene was your favorite?

Their first time making love. It was sweet and sensual the way it meant more than just a coming together to satisfy lust.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

I love the growth the characters show, it's something I've come to expect from Melissa Foster. Rebecca didn't want or need Pierce to swoop in and save her. Pierce learned it's ok to share control and finally came to see how Buddy's leaving truly impacted Pierce's life.
