About this listen

Sara, abducted from Earth by cruel aliens, is used as a torture slave and left to die. Solron, a healer of Kelon, is annoyed at being ordered to go on a cleanup mission to check abandoned enemy war bases. When he and the crew discover a small human woman on the brink of death, Solron manages to save her. But the beautiful little human stirs more within him than his need to heal.

Under Solron's care, Sara falls deeply in love with the alien doctor, and he claims her for himself. But when confronted by the Xerson who tortured her, Solron demands a fight with him. Sara knows she has no choice but to let them fight, but will she now lose the man she loves to the curled Xerson, or will justice at last be served?

Favorite Book of the Series

I love that this series is so diverse. Often these series are the same story, just insert different names but not this one. I love that they went with a hero who was a doctor and not a warrior and how he used intelligence to defeat his opponent during a battle. He was the perfect hero for Sara who was so broken after what she endured. Just again wish the narrator would have not tried an aussie accent or such dramatic accents with pasues - distracting from the story.

Very good romance!

I really liked the characters in this sci-fi romance. Sara is a human who has been kidnapped by vicious aliens. She is abandoned in a cage, near death when the hero and his fellow alien warriors find her. The hero is a doctor and takes her care personally. It takes a while to get her past her trauma, but they start falling in love. Unfortunately, the alien who abused her the most shows up unexpectedly and demands her return as his property. Will she have to go, or can he defend her despite not being a warrior? Narration was well executed.

Not a Bad Story But...

The Story was not bad, but when the narrator switched to the Australian accent it was like nails on a blackboard. Didn't anyone listen to the book before releasing it to the public? I had the other books in the series on my wish list, but I am removing them. I want to clarify that the narrator was good until she switched to the Australian accent.

Quick and Entertaining Story!

This book is what it is and that is an alien story with explicit sex. The h drove me crazy during the first half of the story as she was very meek (although abuse can have that result). She was much stronger at the end of the story and I did enjoy the story. I listened to the audio book which was a detriment as the h's voice seemed to be an over the top Australian accent. The sex... I mean romantic scenes 😉 were explicit but did not overwhelm the story.

saving sara

I've loved this story since it first published. However, Ms. Cliff made Sara's voice sound whiney and made me want to turn it off. I honestly couldn't listen.

Didn’t care for the book.

Did not like the narrator, storyline couldn’t get in to it. To many separate books.

The mention of blood, bodily fluids, filth, odor, killed the mood right from the start

Why all alien stories are sooo excessive??? The girl is always found battered/injured, abused, found naked and dying, there is so much blood, smell, girl is found filthy/no shower, which means she was in captivity and on feces. I’m sorry but this kills the mood. I was in for a romance book with some action but right from the start I felt grossed out. Also, let’s be real, you find someone caged, who is almost dying, covered in blood, surrounded by bodily fluids, rapped, and it’s natural to start a romance story right there??? I just can’t wrap my head around this vibe. Sorry
